As soon as I saw these in person I knew they were exactly what I’ve been searching for: a hiking/walking shoe that was good-looking enough (for sightseeing in Europe) , comfortable, and not too clunky (as most hiking shoes tend to be) These are them! Very streamlined, low profile soles…a bit cushy-thick around the collar but nothing dramatic. After reading reviews I decided on sizing up a half size; I have medium width feet but like room for toes and occasional thick socks. These give me just enough room that I probably could have stayed with my size, but knowing that if I’m walking a lot with hiking socks, I’ll be glad for the extra toe space. They’re so understated pretty! Perfect hybrid of sneaker and casual-sporty. 🩷
I'm not being paid to write this or entering in any survey, I'm just writing because I love the shoes that much and hope to help someone as indecisive as I am.I ordered these and a few other brands on a whim for a trip out west to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, and these beat the others by a long shot. I wanted a shoe that fit like a tennis shoe, was relatively flexible, had some arch support, and most importantly, gripped well on the bottom. We hiked several miles each day, and these were PERFECT.Fit: Like other reviews state, do NOT order a half size up. I did thinking I would wear them with thicker socks, but even with hiking socks my usual size would have been perfect (I didn't exchange them because we were leaving the next day, so if you realllly like to have some wiggle room in the toe, a half size up will work too).Comfort: This is what really won me over. I wore these all day with no blisters! Sometimes I tend to get them on the bottoms of my feet if I get sweaty and my socks rub the wrong way. Even after 10+ hour days on my feet walking in sand and rocks and dirt, I didn't get one. The arch support is nice too. My arches are pretty high and I was comfortable, but I could see how some people might want to add an insert for additional support.Traction: Awesome! I felt comfortable walking, even jogging, down the side of a mountain in these. They do not have a lot of ankle support because they are a lower shoe, but they are flexible and have great tread on the bottom-I felt very "in control" when jumping on and over slippery rocks.Water Resistance: I cannot attest to how waterproof these are because I did not get in the water. All in all, this is a great little hiking shoe. Price point is lower than competitors, and my performance expectations were exceeded. You will not regret purchasing these!
I bought these shoes to replace a pair of LL Bean trail sneakers that I'd had for years. And I have to say, I'm already pretty much in love with these new shoes. First of all, they're much lighter than my old shoes. They also have a much more slender fit which I like quite a lot. The downside to that is that they don't have as much support or padding as a sturdier shoe. As my daily walks are typically limited to an hour or so through some fields and woods, these do provide all that I need. But I think they're best for light hikes. If you're looking to do something more intensive, you may want a stronger shoe.I was surprised at how comfy these are straight out of the box. The back edge is a little stiff, so make sure you do break them to avoid blisters before undertaking any lengthy journey, but the rest of the shoe feels great. I'm usually an 8 but I read that these ran small so I ordered a half size up. These are a great fit for a hiking shoe. I think they might be a touch narrow, which works out well for me, especially in the larger size. But keep that in mind if you have a wider foot.I'm a big fan of the appearance of the shoe. The photo doesn't really do it justice as it's actually much prettier than I expected. I'm not really a sneaker person when I'm out of the woods, but I think these are stylish enough to wear around town as well. My only complaint would be the minimal arch support. It might just be that I'm coming from a very supportive pair of shoes, but I think these could use a bit more. All in all, I'm very happy with these sneakers and you can't beat the price on Amazon!
Very stylish and comfy without the bulkiness that often comes with hiking shoes. I went half a size up and it fit pretty perfectly. I sprayed them with scotch guard as well and they kept pretty dry thru a rainy weekend. They lace easily and I wore them out of the box for three straight days of camping without any issues. If you prefer ankle socks like me, I’d definitely recommend wearing them with the type that have a lip on the back (like Nike Karrimore) because my Achilles started getting raw after a few hours of wearing them with regular ankle length socks. Otherwise they’re perfect and I plan on wearing them with future hikes.
These are a good solid sturdy sneaker. I have no complaints. They run a slight bit small. I used to wear an 81/2 in sneakers but it seems all sneakers of late are running small including these. The 9 fits. I wish these companies would get more standardized on shoe sizing. I wear an 8 in one brand sandals and 81/2 in hiking boots and a 9 in sneakers?!? When in doubt order both sizes with prime and return the one that doesn’t fit. 🤷♀️
True to size and comfortable right out of the box. The upper fabric is not water resistant at all. Walking through wet grass results in wet socks. The fabric wicks water across it, so a little bit of water soaks the top of the shoe.

+ ProsComfy right out of the box-seriously. They feel more like tennis shoes than hiking shoes.I ordered half a size up and they fit perfect with a little extra room for thick socksNot too stiff on the bottom-I imagine they will be perfect for climbing slippery wet rocks- ConsNot waterproof. There are little screen type things to let air flow but also would let water in.Shoe laces are slippery. Definitely need to double knot these babies to keep them tied.
