ECCO, a Danish footwear brand founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, began with a simple yet revolutionary idea: creating comfortable shoes that mimicked the barefoot walking experience. Toosbuy believed that shoes shouldn't restrict the natural movement of the foot, and ECCO's commitment to ergonomic design has been at the heart of the brand ever since.
ECCO prioritizes both comfort and style. They utilize innovative technologies and premium materials to create shoes that are anatomically shaped, lightweight, and flexible. ECCO also boasts a keen eye for design, offering a range of styles that are both functional and fashion-forward.
I wasn't sure what to expect in sizing? These are 8-8.5 as how they're listed. Perfect fit for me. These shoes are for work, off and my feet all day. I also have lite neuropathy. I am receiving treatment ...but these shoes are super comfy!Mild support, not overwhelming and I only wear a heel gel cup inside for bone spurs in my heels. I do recommend these...The shoe is also nice looking, not bulky, quite eye appealing but what matters for me is support and comfort. I'm usually not one to rate 5 stars...but these deserve it
Runs a little smaller than I expected given I have the same shoe in black.
These are very attractive sneakers and I might update my review once I’ve put them to work but I’ve only just tried them on. I love the Ecco brand of shoe and love these too. A good price for them on Amazon. I read through the reviews and was worried when I read “runs small, toe box narrow” but I have a B width and wear 6.5 shoe. These are 6-6.5, which were my other Ecco loafers. They fit fine. Plenty of room in the toe box and definitely not too short. A size 7 would have been too large. I cannot comment about wear or water resistance but they are comfortable and attractive. Nothing cheap about how they look. That is why I gave 4 stars since I haven’t put them to the wear test.
Like most athletic shoes, these come with useless, wafer-thin insoles. Unfortunately, the inside of the heel is a bit shallow and shaped inward (with both slope and padding). If you add better insoles — custom or off-the-shelf (which you will need, if you care about cushioning and/or arch support), the shoes are unwearable. I wore these around the house for less than 10 minutes and realized this shoe would have rubbed my heel raw. In fact, I think it might have done that with longer wear even if I hadn’t added better insoles. By comparison, the inner heel height is similar to that of Nike Air Max, but about .25 inch shallower than Sorel, Asics or Hoka shoes that I own (all of which can accommodate better insoles). But it’s primarily the padding and shaping that makes it uncomfortable. The shoe is very attractive and I have narrow feet, so it fit better than most in the toe box. For that reason, I really wished it would have worked. Most similar shoes run wide. I own three pairs of casual (fashion) Ecco sneakers and I’ve experienced the same issue, but I’ve worked around it by wearing them very loosely tied, so the heel can slip up and down without rubbing too much. Obviously, athletic shoes (and I put these in that category) should be cinched more snugly. I ordered a pair of Ecco hiking boots a couple years ago and had to send them back for the same reason. I probably won’t try athletic Ecco shoes again based on this experience, which is too bad because I like the styles.
I purchased these for a family who stands on her feet most of the day and was experiencing a lot of pain. With these Ecco sneakers no pain. Also I purchased a larger size because many people had commented that the room in the toe was small and they fit her perfectly.
I got these with the try before you buy option (for shoes it seems the natural option. I had ordered a similar design before, but my husband took them over ( yes, we are the same size). I kept wishing to have those so I finally found a pair like that and as a bonus, with a discount. They are absolutely fabulous, comfortable, firm and I just love the design and the grip. Thank you for a great product.
I really wanted to be happy with these, but after one wear they are falling apart. One seam has already come undone and the sole is torn up. Very unsatisfied with the quality for the price.
The width was very narrow for a medium width shoe. Had to send back. Also, there was very little grip on linoleum at work. Felt like walking in dry sand, started getting leg cramps at night, calves sore at end of shift.
