Good looking, very comfortable & spacious, good grip, great hikers. My only gripe is that the laces are a bit too long and the shoes should be shipped with a 2nd pair of laces.
This is my second pair of theses shoes. I liked the fit, finish and comfort of the black pair I bought so much, that I ordered the dark earth (dark brown). Super comfortable out of the box. No break in period. The wider toe on the Keen design is roomy for your toes. They look absolutely great! Well constructed! I am VERY happy with this product!
My search for some hiking shoes let me to try these KEEN hikers after not getting a good fit with another higher end hiking shoe. I wore these around the house for several days before taking them out on the street, just to be sure they were going to fit well, and the heel in the arch area.As advertised, there’s plenty of room in the toebox, but there’s a great fit for the arch and heel area, so the shoe feels great! I normally wear a size 11 in crosstrainers, and an 11 in this KEEN shoe worked perfectly.These make great looking casual everyday shoes. I love the leather, the shoes are easy to lace up to tighten them just right on my feet, and the tread has great grip.If anything changes after I actually go out on a hiking trail, I will add to this review. However, from what I’ve experienced so far, I believe they’re going to be comfortable and hopefully durable hiking shoes. I am pleased!UPDATE:I haven’t made it to the trail yet, but I teach school and have worn these to school several days… Today I realized they are more comfortable than the cross trainer sneakers that I usually wear. Very comfortable as I’m on my feet all day!
First, absolutely love the shoe. It looks good. It feels great. For most terrains in good weather, it's great. Internally, it is very well built.But there is one big caveat. If you head out on sedimentary stone like limestone or sandstone when it's wet, this shoe feels slick as an ice skate. I took a nasty spill because it isn't slip resistant on wet limestone.In future versions, I really hope they work on the sole's slip resistance. The rest of the shoe is fantastic.****EDIT: Owned these for 5 months. Moderate hiking use. The sole has cracked and a chunk has fallen out of it. I would really hesitate to buy these if you actually intend to hike with them, comfortable as they are.****
After a short break-in where these shoes mold (slightly) to the individual foot these shoes are comfortable, extremely durable and waterproof! Stylish enough that they can be worn practically anywhere. I am a KEEN fan anyway, got started (with KEEN) many years ago with their high top hiking shoes. The durability and comfort were such that I tried other models and now own six different pairs of KEEN Footwear. I highly recommend these shoes.
Love these shoes! Very comfortable to walk around in and Hike moderate light trails. So nice looking I hate to get them dirty even! But they clean up good, even my podiatrist praised them as a great shoe to wear!
Great shoes! Great fit. My normal size for boots, hiking shoes is 9.5 (sneakers are always 10), and 9.5 in this fits perfectly with nice roomy toe box. I like that it's a pretty rugged shoes but I can wear it in the office as I hate wussy dress shoes! As long as your office dress code is business casual, I think this is perfect. And if SHTF happens while you're in the office, you can at least know your shoes will withstand the attempted walk home!
These shoes fit great and are very comfortable. I’d buy again.
