These fit perfectly with warm wool socks for travel to Iceland. They look good & although I haven’t worn lace up shoes in a very long time these shoes are very well made so I don’t expect trouble. The seller delivered as promised. The shoes obviously high quality. The sales price really helps! Kudos to Amazon for providing easy & safe shopping
These fit perfectly on my Size 7M feet. Very comfortable fit, I felt no discomfort when hiking with them for the first time about 7 miles up and down hills. I like the toe guard, and the glow-in-the-dark stripes on the back heel.
This is my 3rd pair of Keen Targhee's. I love their fit. I need something with a big toe box, and these are perfect. These new ones have better arch support than my last ones, so that is a bonus! These also give great traction when walking around on snow! I typically wear them year round.
I needed new shoes for custom orthotics, and this shoe was recommended, along with a few others. I was not ready to wear the style of shoe my 80 year mother wears so chose the Keen. Heard good things about the brand from friends too. I like the hiking boot look without the high ankles. I've been wearing for a few days and so far so good. These are a solid shoe/product.
Waterproof and comfortable as promised! These are great shoes with a wide toe box. I normally wear 8 1/2 Wide women's running shoes, but I got these in an 8 and they fit well with plenty of space for my wide feet. As another reviewer stated, they do slip a little in the heel but I'm thrilled to have a waterproof, comfortable hiking shoe for the winter and spring.
I typically wear an 8.5 but had to send these back and get an 8. The fit is good, the support in these is excellent, the best I've found in a shoe. I do not need my orthotics in these. They are comfortable and I wear them all day long, from the time I get up to the time I retire. Keen is the only one I seem to be able to do this with, a huge relief and no sore feet.
This shoe comes highly recommended by avid hikers. I'm a day hiker so I expect it to last long. They were a little stiff around the ankles which means they'll provide decent support for a low (versus mid hiking shoe). I've started wearing them in the house to break them in and they feel better already. I've never bought any of the higher end hiking shoes before now. However, based on the reviews, some wear year around. The style I picked has more leather upper with a mesh tongue. I guess mesh makes shoes lighter weight and more breathable, but the leather adds durability. I look for durability! I bought my regular shoe size and they seems to fit well and are roomy side to side, but not too roomy. I think Keens are known for a wide toe box and they come with a removable insole. They are a little "grabby" around the ankles, but they are softening up already through wearing in the house. A friend who is an avid hiker chooses this style and said she wore out the tred before the shoe wore out. With the amount of hiking I will do, I doubt I'll wear out the substantial tred on these shoes. I'll test them out in hiking in the spring.
PRO:1) Comfortable width and materials2) Waterproof3) Easy to remove insole and replace with orthotic4) Protective of feet with rubber toe and strong material5) Some ankle support, more than most low hiking bootsCON:1) Run .5 big in length, don't order up like usual. I did and the boot became too big and my foot slips around too much. Re-ordered in my normal size.2) Will be a bit tight at first, but loosen up within a week a great deal.3) Sole does not protect against rough, hard terrain and rocks enough, I can feel too much and after hiking for awhile it can start to hurt. Sole not rigid enough, bends too much after breaking in.Wish Keen would make a waterproof Voyageur because that is their best boot for me, but its not waterproof.
