The reviews I'd read before ordering were extremely confusing... so, in an effort to clarify for others, I just wanted to write about my experience...I ordered TEN PAIRS of these sneakers (in white, red, and black) to make certain that I got the correct size that I needed in each color. Because of the confusing reviews regarding sizes, I felt I had to do this because I had no clue what size would actually end up fitting me! It was a real pain in the booty... most especially because the sizes ended up being NORMAL. Ugh.The good news is that I absolutely LOVE these shoes! They are so unbelievably comfortable and SO CUTE! I didn't get the size I wanted (size 8 - which is my normal size) in the white or black because they were unavailable.:( I'm going to keep my eyes out for the black ones, because I really like them. The white ones make me feel like my feet look too big... but the red ones are SOOOOO ADORABLE! I actually came back and ordered 3 pairs of the red ones because I love them so much. (I'll just keep 2 pairs in their boxes, until the first pair gets dirty.) And I love the platform sole, even at 5'9", because they keep my feet looking "balanced" in length vs height. The skinny soles on sneakers can make my feet look SOOOOO LONG. But these look fantastic!Anyway... just wanted everyone to know that the sizing is CORRECT for women. I usually wear a size 8 in Adidas, and that's exactly what I ended up keeping.I will say that the gold accents on the black and the white ones are not my cup of tea... but the gold on the tongue can get covered up, and the gold on the back of the heel is something that I don't have to see.;) I don't normally purchase sneakers w/gold on them... (just a personal preference)... but these are so cute, I don't even care! LOVE THEM! Now, if I can just get the black ones...

Love these shoes! Super cute, clean, and love the gold details. Originally was looking for Superstars to complete my abg look, but I didn't want ones with black stripes and wanted ones with a little more detail/bling. There is a perfect amount of gold, and it looks very classy. Sizing is wayyyyy too big. I am usually a 6.5/7 and ordered a 7 originally. Ended up having to exchange them for a 6, which fits much better, and I honestly could've even maybe gone with a 5.5, so definitely order a size to a size and a half down. They go with everything, and the platform is a nice addition, especially for someone short like me. The first time I wore them, I was on my feet for five hours, and then wore them again for another three hours the next day and have little to no complaints - super comfy and supportive! Love these!
Update from my original review:I went to the Adidas store yesterday, and I tried these exact same tennis shoes on. As I previously stated, I’ve always worn size 8 in the original Superstars for women. 1): These ARE original Adidas shoes; 2): The “superstar bold” IS sized for men; 3): I wear a size 8 and I had to size down to a 6-1/2; They fit perfectly and I love them! So, size down, 1-1/2 to 2 sizes. The seller really needs to know the product that they sell and give all detailsORIGINAL REVIEWI don’t think these are genuine Adidas SuperStars. I generally have to buy Adidas in a size 8, (even then, a bit snug) but these were huge for a size 8. Now it’s possible that these are for men, not women. The other thing was that they just looked a bit wonky.
So lets talk sizing. I run a $4million shoe store so I know a bit about shoes. First, I researched this particular style by name and according to sizing by Adidas it is unisex, which means is runs like mens sizes. The standard to switch to mens is usually a size and a half down. Which works for me consistently. Some women may only do one size down. So it helps if you have experience with mens sneakers prior to buying. I'ms a size 8 and bought and 6 1/2. Fits perfect. Now this particular style runs a bit wider than other adidas I own but it's also my first shell toe. So it could be a shell toe thing. Ironically I'm from that era, high school in the 80's when they were in style. Lately I'm been in a retro type of dressing mood. They are REAL Adidas for sure!. Hope the helps some of you.
Love the look of this sneaker! The subtle gold accents really add pop - the back logo as well as the tips of the shoe laces. These shoes can be worn with shorts, pants or summer dresses/skirts! Perfect for sightseeing, running errands or walking around. I normally wear an 8 (or 8 1/2 because I have a wide foot), but the 7 1/2 fit me slightly large. I would recommend sizing down one full size to get the truest fit. While I LOVE these shoes and have gotten many complements, I took off one star because even though they run large, when I wear them on a plane, after about an hour or two, I have to remove them because they are uncomfortable. Other than that, I highly reccommend.
I was so excited to get these and I absolutely adore them. I don't know how I don't have a better picture of them! They are worth every penny. Comfortable, sturdy, and the platform is perfect!
