Was a bit concerned of fit and quality but had to order at such a great deal.Super happy that I tried them out, very comfortable out of the box and not too narrow, (I have wide feet). The leather appears to be good quality and they are leather lined. These rise to any occasion, from shorts to a suit if you're feeling a bit fun and frisky.
Love the shoes but they fit way small to size, so we had to return and order 2 1/2 sizes larger!
Designed in NY handcrafted in Brazil... I love the Brothers United as a label, but these are kinda a miss. Sadly, for Fancy lace-up Sneakers these are kinda overpriced. They are beautifully made, beautiful to look at, even the shoe strings are elegantly made. The light 3/4” rubber soles came smudgy and filthy, if I didn’t trust Amazon quality, I’d swear they were already used. They are Completely lined w/Genuine “Kid Napa Calf leather.” Inner shoe padding is dense and removable (to allow for inserts of you own). Unfortunately for shoes that are not using UK sizing but US sizes, they run very small, a whole size at least.
When I saw these, what caught my eye was they were made in Brazil (designed in New York). My wife is Brazilian, so we travel down there quite a bit, and I absolutely love the footwear there. Lots of high quality leather and the shoes are often way more comfortable than what I can buy up here. I was hopeful these would be similar in quality and comfort, and much to my surprise, they are.Honestly they fit like a glove, very true to size (for me at least), and from my experience with other sneakers from Brazil, that's the trend: a good, solid fit that's not too tight. The material on these is decent as well; about what you'd expect for a decent sneaker. These should hold up well for a while. Especially since they come with some "broken in" effects (see the pics; the dark scuffing on the white bottom material comes like that). I think its a nice touch since the white would get scuffed up soon enough anyway, and it isn't *too* much where they look odd. Wearing them, they look quite natural. The comfort level is very high on these. One of my favorite go-to pairs now. I don't think you'd want to run a marathon in them but any kind of decent amount of walking should be fine. They're well padded.I'd definitely recommend these, and being they're my first pair of Brothers United, I'll be looking at other options by this brand in the near future. I had not heard of it previously but am glad they're here in the US, else I'd be waiting for my next trip to Brazil for a similar fit & feel!
Christmas gift for my husband!!! He loves them
I ordered the 'Brothers United Men's Leather Luxury Lace Up Brushed Sole Sneaker, Black Glaze/White, 10 M US' for review.I used to work at a high end Men's shoe store back when I was younger so I know a good quality shoe when I see one. I also know what a good quality shoe feels like when worn. I was a little skeptical when I ordered these because of the price and because normally it is hard for me to find shoes that fit right as I have narrow feet. Comfort was also a concern as most shoes of this style really are more for looks rather than comfort. Well when I received these Brothers United shoes I was really impressed. They truly are a great quality shoe and the fit was perfect and actually quite comfortable too. My Dad always used to tell me "you get what you pay for" and for the most part I have found that to be true. There will always be exceptions but in the case of these shoes, this most definitely rings true. I always used to use that line when I sold shoes as many men didn't want to spend the money on a nice pair of shoes, but the old-timers knew that a good shoe was a shoe that's comfortable and one that will last a long time. There is value in that for sure! Overall, I love these and am really impressed that there are companies out there still making quality shoes that are actually worth it.
First time I've ever bought shoes on Amazon, which has been great for just about everything else. Not being able to try them on hurt here, as I just assumed that the inside of the shoes wouldn't be rough. Tough to describe, but I stopped wearing them when my foot started bleeding, and I wasn't able to really do anything to stop the underlying issue.Like an idiot, I'd already removed the tags. So, caveat emptor.
As expected, no complains
