got the brown ones, leather looks great, not too thin like the previous cole haan sneakers i had. toebox is a bit tight for medium size and my wide feet, starting to breakin though after a few wears. aside from the narrow toebox, very comfortable to walk in . shoelaces are good quality too
Very nice and comfortable. Would purchase these shoes again.
I was in the market for a white sneaker that I could wear casually and a little bit more formally. I wear them to work in my office job every day and they're super comfortable and have great support. I've also dressed them up for weddings. Great shoe, great fit, and they go with everything. One of the things I always worry about with leather sneakers is that they won't break in well, but these have held up great so far. The leather is soft and the shoe is still in really good condition with almost every day wear over a few months. Great shoe for the price!
I absolutely love the Sneaker. It's my go-to choice when I wear jeans with a shirt or a tee, and it never fails to earn me compliments from my colleagues. The leather looks really classy, and I'm hopeful that with proper care, I can keep these shoes looking stylish for a long time. They're more than just shoes to me; they're a stylish and worthwhile addition to my wardrobe.
Perfect sneakers for the look
These shoes are absolutely terrible. I’ve worn Cole Haans to work for nearly a decade and these are by far the worst pair, and most uncomfortable pair I’ve ever been in. I wish I could return them, they are awful.
These shoes look and feel awesome, the fit perfectly. So good that I bought a black pair. Perfect for elegant casual or casual wear, I'd go as far as saying they would be a good wear for an elegant even as well.
I bought a pair at a discount. Box was damaged but shoes were sparkling white. Made in Asia like most consumer goods. Quality is average. It is the tongue that digs into my leg (there is no padding). Stan Smiths have no padding on the tongue so keep this in mind. Lining is cloth instead of leather. Not as comfortable or soft on inside like Nike Air Force or Adidas Stan Smith. Rubber sole is easier to keep clean than molded polyurethane that is currently used on some shoes - but note that rubber soles also adds weight. Leather is very stiff but that also means the structure is more likely to be durable (well that is in theory). A quick internet search and it is obvious Cole Haan probably shares molds/manufacturers for some of their model lines. Other high end white sneakers share the vamp, sole and other bits and pieces. In fact, they look identical except for the logos/branding. Not sure I would pay $160 for these just for the Cole Haan brand name as the almost identical shoe sells for much less if you search for “New Republic Men's Kurt Leather Sneaker” brand. Sadly, “Winthrop Clay” also makes an all leather sneaker with the same sole for less than one-third the price. It’s obvious Banana Republic, Cole Haan, and other brands are outsourcing their production to manufacturers in China and India. Even European brands like Ecco are doing this discretely and upcharging for the same shoes; so, pay close attention and shop around.
