chucks are skinny, longer, and tend to run a size large. I usually wear 7.5 mens, and in THIS STYLE of chucks, I tend to wear a mens 6. Other styles are different. and they usually wear in comfortably. they have no arch support, no got good for running. But good for squats. they are good shoes, reasonably prices, for my purposes.

Nice shoe. A little big (I got the women 8/ men 6). The measuring instruction said to measure your actual foot by standing on a piece of paper and marking where the end of your big toe is and also marking where your heel ends. I got 9 1/2 inches which translated to an 8 women/ 6 men.I suggest sizing DOWN half a size after you take your actual foot measurement.

Chucks are as Chucks do, right? No surprises here! I've been wearing Chucks for over a decade now, and use them generally as a good flat platform for weightlifting, and a good compliment to jeans on a casual night out, for which these work great! If you don't know what you're getting in Chucks, well, they're durable, simple shoes with very limited padding and no arch support, that look pretty good. For non-Olympic style weightlifting, particularly deadlifts, where you want the flattest base possible, with minimal amounts of flex and cushioning, these work great. Unless you go to purpose-built lifting shoes, you won't find many shoes that are flatter, and with less give in the soles (which are flexible, but don't compress much). Unfortunately, these qualities also mean that my Chucks aren't the most comfortable shoes to spend an entire day in, and I generally find that if I'm doing a lot of walking around over the course of a day, my feet ache a little for a different pair of tennis shoes. Still, for a casual night out, these are perfect! I like the fit of the shoe and the quality.

The originals. I bought them to have a pair of sneakers to knock around town in to save wear and wear on my cross trainers that I use exclusively for the gym. They look good as ever, but the padding and cushion on your feet is the same as the 1970s. That technology is as retro as the style, which unlike the look, is unfortunate. You should think that they could retain the look and evolve just a bit on comfort.Also, as well documented, if you have wide feet you'll have to either get a half size larger or tie them more loosely because Converse does not make a wide version. Converse used to have some ridiculous figure like 80% market share in sneakers before the Nikes of the world came along. You'd think they would offer a wide version and better comfort to be more competitive.All that said, these are the one and only Chuck Taylors, and that's that.

These are really good shoes and are genuine. Converse subtly changed their logo and customers think these are fake. They are real and they come directly from a converse seller. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the box had the size I ordered on it, but the shoes inside were the wrong size.

Love these shoes! They are not real chucks though. To my slight disappointment they are similar to the real ones pictured, but the ones you receive do not have the signature star in the O in Converse. They do look legit anyways and feel the same, comfy and what I was looking for.
