Dearfoams Women's Original Comfort Marina Slip-on Platform Sneaker

Honestly, I changed my review from TOO small, to just slightly small after walking around in them. I wanted to purchase another color and was going to go up a size, then maybe 1/2 a size, and I ended up buying the same size, because the problem is width much more so than actual length. A larger size would likely slide off the back of my foot. I’m u sure if the width would even change by sizing up anyway, ya know? Hmm.They feel tight, but otherwise comfortable, as weird as it sounds. I’m not sure if they ‘break in’ as far as width, but I hope so, as they do strangle the foot a bit, and I’ve never worn wide sizes, not ever, but I’m hooked on the style and the comfort on my actual foot with these. I have high arches and get regular foot pain, but love walking and biking, so I am HOPING that wear will loosen them up.For reference I fit 7.5-8 but 95% of my shoes, if not more, are size 8. I’m pretty settled there. I may end up returning them if I can’t break the narrowness in a bit. I just ordered yet another pair, so we’ll have a few here, so obviously I love them, otherwise. I’m used to my sketchers, but.. if they can get wider and without obviously, putting so much pressure on the sides that they burst, I will sing dearfoam praises across the universe! I’ll wear them in the house and see what happens. I love their slippers SO much! I’m wearing them now. Those fit like a glove!These sneakers are cute, they have that memory foam insole that I love. I like the tiny bit of added height on my sneakers too. This is a perfect look for me. No laces either.. that I like! Just a little more width, and they’d be 110% perfect! A great price for the quality and name! I remember my mom wearing this brand when I was little! She only wore the best!I’ll update on the narrowness. *fingers crossed*!

I was holding my breath hoping that the color would be as it was in the photo. It was and is a really beautiful coral. The fit is perfect and I'm very happy. Louie

Too narrow and tight for wide feet. Material was not stretchy as photo showed. Couldn’t get refunded because I waited too long to try them on assuming they would fit fine based on photo. Trying to sell them back.

These shoes look better on than I had thought, and do have the elements to make them very comfortable, but they do run small, by at least 1/2 size. Thankfully, they fit my daughter and she loves how they feel on her feet.The cushion on the bottom is very comfortable to my feet, and the build of the shoes is appropriate. The non-skid bottom is good and not heavy, while the exaggerated height of the soles isn't awkward. I did feel like the back portion (back of ankle) could have come up a bit higher, but that may just be a personal preference.In the photo, they seemed a bit iffy to me, but after I had put them on, they actually looked kind of cute. I left these on for just under an hour, thinking I could "break them in" but to no avail. The Dearfoams brand is what made me want to try these out, as I have a pair of bedroom shoes by them and they are cozy like they should be.The stitching on these shoes is excellent, and if they were actually true to size, I'd probably love them. However, I ordered a size 8 and they fit more like a snug size 7 1/2. If I were to order more knowing what I know now, I'd certainly order a size 8 1/2.Other than running small, these shoes appear to be the same Dearfoam quality one expects. Thanks for reading.

I was thrilled to unwrap these lovely shoes. They are solid, but I have neuropathy and need a softer more comfy fit shoes. Sad but true. Most people might not be like me though, so I will not discount them. My toes get sore and sensitive easily.I love espadrilles; always have. Down to the looks of the textured upper, and then to the pretty, summery stitching around or above the lighter soles. I got a navy blue. I so want to wear them. I will try again on a day when my pain is decreased. Sometimes I can break in shoes like this. I have with other like shoes, due to the fact that they are made of a cloth. These are a bit thicker.These are extremely sturdy shoes with a lot of support. I would pay more for these. Maybe a half-size up will work for me better. It will not work for me if my right toe is constrained, or hitting the front of them. The left shoe felt fine.I can hardly express how great these shoes are; especially the aesthetic factor.Enjoy!

I got these for my elderly mother who has difficulty wearing shoes. She tried a pair of counterfeit Keds-style sneakers, but the soles proved too rigid for her. Even though the soles on these appear to be much thicker than the Keds, they're actually very flexible and she's liking them a lot. In addition to substantial cushioning, they offer decent [but not overly aggressive] support for the arches as well.It should be noted, she has a very narrow foot and the toe box fits her very comfortably. The upper is made of a stretchy material so they might work on wider feet as well, but they do appear to come to a fairly narrow point in the front. They hug the top and back of the foot snugly so they don't slip off either. And the tan cotton trim around the bottom adds a touch of unique flair to an otherwise pretty standard walking shoe. If you're seeking ultimate comfort, you really can't go wrong with Dearfoams.
