ECCO, a Danish footwear brand founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, began with a simple yet revolutionary idea: creating comfortable shoes that mimicked the barefoot walking experience. Toosbuy believed that shoes shouldn't restrict the natural movement of the foot, and ECCO's commitment to ergonomic design has been at the heart of the brand ever since.
ECCO prioritizes both comfort and style. They utilize innovative technologies and premium materials to create shoes that are anatomically shaped, lightweight, and flexible. ECCO also boasts a keen eye for design, offering a range of styles that are both functional and fashion-forward.
I am a longtime fan of Ecco Shoes and have owned dozens of pairs. Like many of Ecco shoes, the soles are initially quite firm but soften slightly after being warn for a few minutes. I am a large man (6' 2" 300lbs) and these are perfect bc the soles don't break down - similar to the New Balance 993 and other high end tennis sneakers (for actual tennis).Fit: These are plenty wide for square toes and wide feet. The heel is a little shallow so they don't fit securely like a proper athletic shoe, but since the are casual shoes I actually like it. Plus I have a Haglund's deformity which causes Achilles tendinitis, and since the heal is so shallow it doesn't put too much pressure on the tendon. If you like Ecco shoes, you will like these. They look great with jeans, chinos, or shorts and would be ideal tourist shoes because you can comfortably walk several miles in them.
Great shoes. Very comfortable. I took me one day to break in after then very comfortable and feel the quality. Fit perfectly. Highly recommended.
Pleased with product, fit and comfort.
The sneaker is a great quality. It's extremely comfortable and provides the arch support I really appreciate. The sneaker provides a great deal of cushioning. Sizing was great and the width was good for my average width foot. What made me return these in the end is the style. Even though I find the styling attractive, I did not like it on me. Maybe it was the color, but I found the silhouette combined with the plain white color to be more on the feminine side. The chunkier style also didnt look especially good on me. I already have a large size 13 foot and I'm not especially tall (5' 9"), so adding chunkier shoes to the mix just makes things look disproportionate.
Not too athletic-y looking yet great for casual wear with shorts/pants when you don't want to wear dress shoes. My husband says they are comfortable and is and he is the type to always add insoles to his shoes - none needed here. Recommended!
i liked the shoe but it was too narrow in the toe box
Taking a little to break in but no pain by any means. They are foot friendly but my feet are not that easygoing.
Fit just right for my expanding feet. I walk 2-3 miles/day and the sole is is very nonskid.
