These are pretty rugged sneakers that could double as fashion-forward or potentially light hiking. The uppers are a blend of suede, canvas, and other materials, and all feel pretty durable. They're also kind of loud, but attractive. They match well with browns, greens, and other colors. Overall, I can recommend these. One thing to note. I usually wear size 10.5 or 11. The 11s here fit me great.
Paid $45 for these bad boys. They are missing the back logo but I purchased these the use not to look at so it’s a win win for me!
These "Element Men's Namib Elite Sneaker (7.5, Green)" are very nice. I liked them a lot. The design is attractive, and stylish; suitable for all ages. The construction is pretty solid, there are tiny thing here and there that I can see the finishing is not perfect, it can definitely be "better", but they are not too horrible. Many had pointed out what you get is not exactly the same as the pictures in the product listing; I personally too would find that annoying, but the overall design didn't varies too much, it is likely just a product refresh. And searching around the web I do see many places selling the version that we got from Amazon, and with all the legitimate product tags etc... this is definitely an legitimate Element branded product. The only issue that I have on this product is its huge cost variation (or discount amount) based on sizes as of the time I wrote this review making it very difficult for me to comment on the value of this product. For example, it varies from $33 (green size 8), to $110 (green size 8.5), and $49 (black size 8.5) or $72 (green size 9); doesn't make a lot of sense! Also, my expectation for a $33 pair for sneakers dramatically different (a lot of imperfection can be over-look at this price range) than my expectation for a $110 pair (this better be perfect in all departments).Overall, I still like this product, for the product itself, I think it is 4-star worthy. You mileage may varies depends on how much your particular size/color cost, it may put these sneakers at 3 (if they cost $110, I think that would be overpriced), or 5 (if they cost $33, that would be a steal).Thank you for reading this review, I hoped that this review & the pictures are helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.
Pretty comfy good looks
The shoe is comfortable and the build quality feels good. I have used it for a few long hikes and bike rides and can report that they were comfortable for the duration of those events. The issue I have is that the shoe is not the same as the images in the listing. The image shows a hook at the top of the shoe for the laces, but the shoe I received has a regular eyelet. There is no logo on the back of the shoe as is in the image and the texture in the heel is smooth in the shoe I received and not textured as in the image. So while I mostly like the shoe, I am concerned that the shoe is not accurately represented in the listing. I'm not sure if that would indicate that these are a knockoff, but it certainly is a point for concern.*******One of the eyelets just popped out, so it turns out that the quality is not up to snuff. I will reach out to the manufacturer to see if they will replace the shoes.
The shoe is missing the Element logo on the back. It fits nice but I'm very concerned that these are knock off shoes.
This is my second pair of shoes from Element. My others are the Sawyer sneaker witch is very much my style in a 9.5. Love them. These weren't available in the 9.5 so I got a 10. I didn't expect to like these so much. Boy was I wrong and surprised - these are GREAT. They're warm. They're comfortable. I spend all day on my feet and do a lot of hiking and walking - these keep up with me and my feet don't hurt at the end of the day. They probably have a few 100 miles on them at this point and aren't really showing any wear. Mine are all made without any defects that I can find and have all the logos on them though I really don't care about that, but it seems quite few do. I'd absolutely buy these again, though I really don't understand the price variance based on size.
As others have noted, the shoes I received lacked the imprinted logo on the back that is on the product page images. However, the tongue and the bottom have the Element logo. The biggest perk for me is that the insoles are removable so I replaced with some orthopedic inserts. In removing the factory insoles, I noticed a lot of glue remained in the toe box area and the cardboard-ish bottom in the left shoe’s toe box was crinkled up front so that it was difficult to insert my insole. Was easy enough to fix by pulling out some of the glue/rubber cement and flattening out the inside bottom material with my fingers. While I do not skate board, I do not think these are shoes you want to work out in since the sole has very little bendability other than just below the toe box. Therefore, my heel ends up running up and down the inside of the shoe when just walking so I don’t wear this when I plan to walk a long distance. Perhaps this is specific to my gait with my orthopedic insoles, but just something to keep in mind. If you want a fun looking pair of sneakers, these are a great option.
