Propet was founded on the belief that everyone deserves comfortable shoes that fit well. They recognized that the standard one-width sizing system often left people with ill-fitting footwear.
Propet takes pride in offering a wide range of sizes and widths to ensure a perfect fit for every foot. Their in-house design team, with over 40 years of combined experience, creates stylish and comfortable shoes tailored to your needs.
I have worn Propet Walkers now for several years. These are a true fitting shoe that will eventually stretch out some and become even more comfortable. The new pair feels like it could take an hour long walk in them already. The only problems I have is with the shoe laces, then tend to break in less than a year of use. And if you wear the shoes in wet grass they will leak, I fix that with some leak-proofing polish or spray around the seams.
Too small
The shoes look good and take polish well, but they flat NEVER got comfortable. They were correctly sized and fit my feet. I wore them and wore them, but they never got even remotely comfortable. I've tried two different brands of gel insole replacements - neither made the shoes comfortable for walking (most of my foot pain was in the balls of my feet and toes; the heels were okay). After 8 shifts walking about 7 miles per shift, they're no longer worth investing in. They're being donated to Goodwill.
As for stability, these are great--the sides and midsole are strong and fairly rigid, so there is no noticeable pronation, which is the most important reason for me to have gotten these shoes. They are a bit snug, though, with a narrow toe box, and not enough room in the heel or toe for a support insole, and this is after I returned my first pair for one a half size larger. This is only after a couple of wears, and I expect they will get better after a break in period, so I'm keeping them, and using a partial insole to add a little bit of extra support for my fallen arches.
Next time I will order a larger width. Overall I like the shoe.
The Propet shoes felt "broken in" right out of the box. I will buy these shoes from now on. I tried other brands , but these are the best.
Good fit.
Fits with comfort right out of the box!
