Propet was founded on the belief that everyone deserves comfortable shoes that fit well. They recognized that the standard one-width sizing system often left people with ill-fitting footwear.
Propet takes pride in offering a wide range of sizes and widths to ensure a perfect fit for every foot. Their in-house design team, with over 40 years of combined experience, creates stylish and comfortable shoes tailored to your needs.
Propét has been a lifesaving shoemaker for me after a complex foot surgery left one foot consistently swollen, requiring me to buy a whole new wardrobe of shoes in either wide, x-wide, or xx-wide widths depending upon the style. The reviews for this Travelbound Strap Sneaker were mixed, but the price was unbeatable. I own other styles of Propét slip-ons and sneakers but the style of the Travelbound Strap looked awkward until I put it on. The fabric is soft, woven, and stretchy, which is heaven for a foot sporting tender incisions on its top, bottom, left, and right. The striped cuff that extends up the ankle feels invisible (even around my significantly swollen ankle). Amazingly, I didn't need to buy an identical pair of shoes in a smaller size or width solely for my normal foot: this shoe has enough "give" that it comfortably accommodates the swollen foot while also fitting the unaffected foot, too. It's true that arch support is sadly lacking, but do take advantage of the removable insoles – I switched mine out for the orthotics that I already own, and voila! Instant arch support! Even so, I wouldn't want to go hiking in these shoes, but for running errands they're comfortable, breathable, and incredibly lightweight. That strap is pretty much just for looks so don't expect it to provide any significant loosening or tightening functions. On the other hand, the strap has aesthetic character that I came to appreciate more and more over time. I purchased a 12 Wide. The width sizing felt snug on that swollen foot, but not snug in a bad way. My normal foot perceives the width to be true-to-size.
My mom has wide feet with a variety of issues that make it extremely difficult to find shoes that fit. Though these weren't so cute online, they did look comfortable, and that's half the battle! Well, to our surprise, these shoes are really adorable in-person. The textured fabric uppers add a bit of interest without looking cheap or plastick-y. Even the velcro strap is cute; worn under long pants, it makes them look a bit like a monk-strap shoe.We ordered size 7.5 XX-Wide. The sizing was right on, and the width is generous! It really is an Extra-Extra Wide! The collar stretches easily to let a wide foot slide in; the toe box has plenty of room but doesn't resemble a squared-off brick; nothing rubs or irritates. The support is decent, but probably not sufficient for arch problems, though these shoes are roomy enough to add inserts! It's a miracle!Guys, it's incredibly rare to find a shoe that's: 1) wide enough; 2) comfortable; and 3) not hideously ugly, so I have to give my highest recommendation for these.
I would have liked these shoes had they not been so WIDE.
I'd never heard of this brand before but I thought I'd give him a shot because they were super cheap. I'd seen them listed different places anywhere between $60 and $85. I received a sale alert of $23 so I thought wow- give it a shot. There's absolutely nothing bad I can say about this shoe- all things positive! They're the most comfortable shoe I've ever had. It's almost like not even wearing shoes because the shoe itself is fabric so it hugs your foot. It forms to your foot. I have a wide foot so I ordered the 10.5 xx-wide I probably could have got away with a 10 XXW because they are a little big but the extra room helps when I wear a thicker socks. It's such a lightweight shoe so you're not walking around with weights on your feet. I have lower back and knee issues and in the 7 days that I've worn these shoes neither one has given me major pain issues. I would go as far to say that these are even better than dr. Scholl's shoes. And I wear both. Since my first purchase of this Propét brand I've purchased three more pairs and the other two are just as Heavenly as the first.
I was really hoping these shoes would be a good purchase and I was actually surprised that they fit, but after wearing them my feet were in bad pain because they were not comfortable at all. I had to return them.
These shoes are wide enough and very comfortable. They are more comfortable than most slippers. My only concern is that they may only last like slippers. They are advertised as "Travel Shoes" so they may not be meant for very much general walking or everyday wear. They are also priced like shoes which is understandable only if they last like regular shoes. So I'm pleased with the fit and concerned about the price and long term wear.
This is a very satisfactory and comfortable she for the price. It does not have a lot of support but the upper is nice a flexible so toes feel great inside. I always wear an orthotic, so that is all of the support I need.
I bought these for my mom because they were rated on a Google site as, "great for neuropathy in feet" she said they are like all the shoes she has and feels like she's walking on rocks so they didn't help with that. To me they are not cute but better than the old looking orthopedic looking thick soled shoes
