Propet was founded on the belief that everyone deserves comfortable shoes that fit well. They recognized that the standard one-width sizing system often left people with ill-fitting footwear.
Propet takes pride in offering a wide range of sizes and widths to ensure a perfect fit for every foot. Their in-house design team, with over 40 years of combined experience, creates stylish and comfortable shoes tailored to your needs.
Super comfortable- with plenty of room for wide feet. Can’t wait to wear them on vacation next month.
I like these shoes. They are pretty comfortable but I’m not sure what happened one day while walking on vacation. I went to take my shoe off and noticed that the shoe had rubbed some of the skin off my big toe. I never felt it rubbing and I was wearing thick socks. I had worn these shoes quite a few times in the weeks leading up to vacation and even longer walks while on vacation but honestly not sure what happened on that last day that the shoe rubbed the toe.I also ordered the light grey, relatively whit pair.
I have these in several colors. I just ordered my second pair of white ones after wearing the previous ones for five summers the old ones were getting a little dingy. I have narrow feet, so appreciate that they come in narrow width and that the narrow width is actually narrow (many models that are marked narrow are not actually narrow.) My only complaint is that the cloth on inside of heel area wears over time if your foot moves in the shoe at all. That’s another reason I replaced both the black and white pairs. But it took several years and I wear the shoes a lot, whenever I’m going to be on my feet for extended periods. Support is great!
These have gone through steady use for about 10 months since purchase. For what was paid for them they have held up and been decent. Size and fit are comfortable as described. So far there are only two complaints that haven arisen after 10 months worth of wear:1) The inside insert or insole has to be replaced. It started tearing up and has become common place from what my experience has been with other shoe brands as well for about two decades now. Knowing a good shoe insert or insole manufacturer has come in handy to extend the life of a shoe beyond six months it seems. &2) The inside seem on the outer part of the shoe has become rough and if attempted to wear without socks or cushion will cause bunions or abrasions on the foot. This also has become common place it seems in today's world with quite a few manufacturers. Can remember growing up obtaining shoes that lasted year or more before things like this began to occur but for about two decades its been more common a problem then not and has started to become a feat of strength to find a pair lasting beyond six months if actually worn continually. For the two reasons specified is the reason for the two point reduction.
I want to start off by saying that I have wide width feet, so shoe shopping has always been a dreaded experience for me, and I buy bootcut jeans just so people don't see my shoes because of the way my foot looks in them. However, once I found this brand on Amazon with the extended widths, these are the only shoes/brand that I purchase for myself now (with the exception of water shoes and sandals/flip flops). Nonetheless, when I received this pair and tried them on my feet, I felt like I had a completely painless death and went straight to Heaven. The shoes immediately felt so comfortable and spacious, not one area on my foot felt crammed or uncomfortable. There was plenty of space for my toes, and the width of my foot wasn't a problem. They looked fantastic on my feet, and not as though my feet would stretch them out over time and change the shape so the sides will end up hanging over the soles (people with wide width feet will know exactly what I'm referring to). Sometimes my feet swell, and that happened the first day I wore them because I was on my feet for several hours that day, however there was plenty of room in the shoe to allow for the swelling, and at the end of the day my feet didn't kill me because the shoes are so comfortable I felt like I was walking on clouds all day. When I lifted my jeans and looked at my feet in them, they looked normal.....I didn't look like I was walking on the outsides of my feet....almost as if I were bow legged. I don't have to cover these shoes up with bootcut jeans, I can wear shorts, capris, even a sporty skirt or dress with these tennis shoes! I am thoroughly enjoying these shoes.....too bad the only other option in this style is silver/white (they get dirty far too fast for me), otherwise I would be making multiple purchases. They feel good, look good, and I'm thoroughly impressed! (BTW, I only write reviews for things I really enjoy......or have had a horrible experience/I feel the seller was dishonest/running a scam....I very rarely write negative reviews....matter of fact I don't think I've written any on Amazon). Anyway these shoes are AMAZING, I hope you enjoy them as much as I have so far......(BTW I've had mine a little over a month and they still look great)!
I have very wide feet and have always struggled with finding shoes with a wide enough toe box to be comfortable. I bought my normal size (Women's 7.5) in XX-Wide (which I believe equates to 4E) in the Denim/White color. These very comfortably accommodate my feet in the toe box area. The heel area is probably too wide for my heels. If I don't have the laces pretty tight, my heel almost comes out of them. I don't know if a smaller size (7) would have dealt with that or not. The smaller width (2E) would have just made the toe box smaller. At some point I need to measure my feet. Propet does have size charts on the internet. There is about 1 cm difference between 2E and 4E in the width but I'm pretty sure that's the toe box area, not the heel. There is about 1/2 cm difference in the length between a 7.5 and 7). Worth looking up and doing the measurements if you don't want to be constantly returning to get the right size. Support seems good. I have PF and haven't had any pain from that wearing these.
Propet were my go to shoes. Fit perfect, comfortable and wearable for a long time. But not these. I wore them one time. And couldn't wait to get home and get them off, my feet hurt that bad. I'm hoping this isn't changing from great to crap.
Finally found a sneaker for my wide feet. These are really nice looking too, but not to supportive.
