For approx $40, I think these shoes were an excellent buy. I bought them as "walking shoes", not to run or work out. When I work on event sites, it often involves just walking non-stop all day, so I burn through sneakers quickly. Before these, my go-to brands were Onitsuka Tigers and Converse All-Stars. The Converse are similar in price to the Reeboks, but they're kind of heavy and lacking on support. The Tigers used to be in the $50-$60 range, but lately I can't find them for less than $75. I really don't like spending that much on work shoes, because I'm bound to walk through mud and grass and dirty wet floors at some point, and it's not worth ruining expensive shoes. The Reeboks are light, comfortable, and just stylish enough that I don't feel silly wearing them to work. I also like that they're just simple black and white. It's so hard to find women's shoes that don't have pink or yellow on them somewhere, so these were a welcome find.I've only worn them for a couple weeks now, so I'll update after a few months.
These shoes are awesome! I was looking for a comfortable but minimal pair of sneakers that didn't cost more then $100, since walking shoes to me are kind if a waste of time, I like to spend my money on heels and oxfords, dress shoes, people call them. I just call them shoes. I went to Zappos and the closest thing to these were a couple pairs of Nike and New Balance that looked ok, but we're more like $80-$100. I wanted to get the NB 979 but I just wasn't sure they were great for walking and again, that is a nice pair of sneakers but I walk almost 2 hours (to work and back) several times a week, so I know these are not going to last forever, so why spend more? I'm also kind of a Zen freak and hate buying things I don't really need or aren't awesome enough to be added to my monochrome wardrobe. After reading a few reviews, getting mesmerized at the old school look of these shoes and getting a $50 gift card, I went for it. According to experts, I should have gotten half a size larger, but I like the look of small feet. Superficially aside, I have wide feet, but they are not long, I would say these are pretty standard width, not like Narrow Nike, but they are absolutely perfect and the slightly smaller size than so-called experts recommend helps my pathetically flat foot. I read on a review that they didn't have much arch support, but they do! It's almost an aspect ratio equation: you want the shoe to mold to your feet in a way that optimizes its standing position. For me, these do just that and I feel like a retired Asian man in a good and kinda hipster kind of way. Just buy them.
My feet have thin ankles and are somewhat wide at the toes. Often shoes pinch my pinky toe. These do not. They are comfortable right out of the box and fit me just right. They are a great around town walking shoe! Super cute too!
I love my new Reebok sneaks in black!! Had this same exact classic design and color when i was in high school & it still looks cool which casual clothes. Theyre super comfy too. At first they were a tight squeeze, which was expected for brand new shoes & probably because of my thick socks. But once they stretched out after a couple of uses, they fit perfectly. Other than the laces being a little on the short side, its still a good pair of sneaks & with affordable price - i'm glad i made this purchase!
I love these shoes and use to wear them back when I played tennis as a teenager. I have a small wide foot with a narrow heel and these fit me well and are comfortable. I use them for walking, running errands and when I am walking longer distances.
Comfy & super cute
I have bought reebok classic nylon sneekers for a lot of years , but they have become hard to find in local stores. so I buy them at amazon ! I try to have two pairs at all times, one for work and one for "play". They are always comfortable. my back and legs do not become fatigue.and I get alot of "miles" out of them, and they are even washable! they do run a bit narrow, I buy the next full size up and it works for me.....
I've worn this brand and this model of shoe since the early 1980's. I'm a walker (between 20-30 miles a week) and while I occasionally try a different brand or model of shoe, I've always quickly returned to this one because the others have always hurt my foot or caused me to have leg cramps. I've had difficulty locating them over the past year and when I tried to order from Reebock online, the representative I spoke to after my order was cancelled told me that they were to be pulled from the product line. Hence, I've ordered about 10 pair (which should get me 2 1/2 years' walking). They have a great arch support which I need and they are structured to my foot well which gives me a firm, level gait. Over recent years, I enjoyed having the darker colors with my winter wear! I'm sorrier than I can say that they are discontinuing this model!
