It is nice to have a pair of gym shoes you can wear with black pants
If you wore Tretorns in the 80s you will be disappointed. If you didn't they are a great shoe. Somewhere along the way, little things have changed and they are just not the same. If I evaluate as if I had never worn they are a good shoe, but not my favorite. They are not the most comfortable shoe I own, but not the least by far. My feet tend to sweat more in them than in other shoes of a similar type.
The most comfortable sneakers EVER!!!! I am a teacher and on my feet all day. I wore these the other day for the first time - I received complements and OMG they were so COMFORTABLE ALL DAY! Looking forward to wearing them often. I normally wear a 7.5 regular but I do have wider feet - based on reviews running large - I ordered a 7W - they fit perfectly. So happy with this purchase - and I got them I guess when they were on sale - bonus!!! Price increased by $25 the day after I ordered them. Wish they were not made in China but...again sooooo comfortable!
I have had multiple foot problems and surgeries and have spent a lot of money on the highest quality footwear for my needs. I wore Treetorns in high school and loved them. I ordered these without trying them, and am so happy! They are like wearing the most comfortable slippers but with support! I read that they run large. I ordered 8-W anyway, which is my usual size. Width is plenty generous but not too much. There’s a little extra room in the front at the toes, but it feels perfect and doesn’t look too long. Highly recommend! ❤️
Historically love Tretorn. Got this heavily discounted. Now I know why. They feel like I am wearing plastic on the top. True ya Re not leather and i would say you can’t find real leather anymore. The soles of the shoe which are expected to have to grip are slippery. I’m keeping them because they were so inexpensive but I won’t buy them again. I do wish I could find Tretorns as I knew them. They are garbage like most shoes today.
Unfortunately, these shoes didn't have any arch support so I had to return them. I wear a 9w just because I need a wider toe box. Size was to be expected. I see how the other reviews have concerns about the leather...it is a little on the shiney side or maybe just has a slight sheen to it. The shoes are very soft and seem to have decent cushion. I did find the tongue to be a little short also, but nothing that was bothersome.
Very comfortable very attractive but at least two sizes too big. Perhaps I missed reading a European conversion size chart.
I have been unable to find these in my size the last 6 months. So I was thrilled to find them in stock and absolutely ecstatic that they were almost half of what they usually are!!! I had been paying over $80 for my leather Tretorn nylites.
