The boot is awesome. I thought I was buying an off brand boot just to get by with not a lot of money to spend. But come to find it the boot is very comfortable. I wore the boots in my house for two days here and there “break them In” but it really wasn’t necessary. My feet weren’t destroyed and blistered after a long 8 hour shift. I’m an arborist climb trees for a livingI climb trees, so I am very active when it comes to wear and tear on boots. They are comfortable, durable, lightweight with great stitching & the heel is perfect height. Overall great boots. The only concern I have with this boot is that the sole stitching stops mid point on the boot. Which worries me about sticking the heel in tree crotches on a daily basis. I’m hoping the heel doesn’t flip off right away. I normally wear Carolinas and I still give these boots a 5/5.
My job really will put a pair of boots to the test. I have owned several pairs of AdTec boots. They are built to last. Working in every kind of weather you can think of..
I just love these boots….. and I am saddened I have to retire them. And as much as I want to order them again, I have to look to another boot. The only issue I had with these, the part where you lace up the boot, those metal hooks broke on me as I like my boots nice and snug. But a simple wrap around of the laces did the trick. These boots lasted me two and a half years, through work and outside activities and just about everyday use, but now that I have a hole forming in the toe area, it is time to retire these.I made sure to come back here and share though, for the money spent, I was happy with these boots! If the brand finds a better more sturdy metal hook for lacing up, I’d be all over these again! They will be living the retired planter life now 😂😂😂😍
Went to contact seller before writing this since the boots we received are clearly defective, but it said “return window closed” and no other option to contact… Instead I’ll write an honest review instead letting everyone know to STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND - DO NOT BUY THESE POOR/CHEAPLY MADE DEFECTIVE YET EXPENSIVE BOOTS!!!! My pictures should speak for themselves. I literally bought these for my boyfriend ONLY TWO MONTHS AGO (purchase date was September 1st). Look at them now?!?! Within the first week of owning them, the metal eyelets where the laces go into started falling out on both boots. This has yet to stop and only got worse. Two months later, he nearly breaks his ankle if he tries to wear them because he can’t lace them up high enough anymore since half of the upper eyelets fell out. These boots weren’t cheap. They were about $90 when we purchased them. [On a side note, we bought a pair of EverBoots on Amazon over a year ago. Yet those are still in excellent shape and were about the exact same price as these if not a few dollars cheaper. They were worn the same amount so that shows that it’s nothing he did wrong while wearing them… this brand just clearly sells defective, cheap, and shotty products.] These eyelets weren’t secured good to the boots enough for whatever reason. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Do not buy these cheaply made boots. They fall apart in weeks!! I would give 0 stars if I could.
Bought boots to wear when I ride my Harley. What a great pair of boots just love them fit is just right and you know you can not beat the Low price. Thank you Johnny G.
For context, I am a landscaper. Boots seem alright. Been using for almost a month now. Definitely painful to break in. But after that, they feel pretty good. Highly recommend new insoles. Not exactly critical to the performance of the boot but two of the hook eyelets have already fallen out within just a few weeks of use. Slightly disappointing. Leather and stitching it holding up fine so far. Decent boot for $80.
The leather used on this boots is very similar to the one used in the Durango harness/biker boots... Very good quality, they are super comfortable even after standing on you're feet all day at work and the none steel toe version is a plus on the boots being comfortable.NEGATIVES :These boots are definitely not meant to be used with shovels at all, the arch part of the boot will bent inwards pressing against you're arch and you have to push that dent back down by hand.I bought the none water resistant ones if water splashes by the toung area of the boots water will get inside... I don't know if the water resistant ones are different in that area, the leather of the boots definitely provides some water resistance. This pictures are after 2 months of using this boots at work from 8 to 10 hours Monday through Friday.EDIT: the new pair of boots I order do feel the same as the pair i bought 18 months ago, the only thing I don't like very much from the new pair is that the heels are not black like the old ones... Look at pictures.
Love them. Fits great
