ALDO Men's Kenora Ankle Boot, Brown, 9.5

First off, fitment was as expected, no issues for a mens 11 with a standard width (D). This ankle boot is perfect for someone who needs a shoe that is ready to wear looks and comfort with no adjustment period right out of the box. The leather is the best part of these. To me, chukka boot style is for when you want a blend of fancier elements that can be dressed down easily. This leather is perfect for that. It is soft and malleable, affording excellent comfort. It has a good looking grain finish that provides ample texture to keep it more casual looking. The finish leaves it with a polished look that hits the fancier element with just enough polishing on the tips to add that little extra bit of fanciness. The short heel continues to keep the balance of classy that can be dressed down, which looks good combined with the accent stitching that gives the appearance of a welted construction. The insole is very comfortable especially on the heel. Note that it is glued in so if you want to replace it, that will be a little more involved than loosely fitted insoles (i prefer this as the insoles on shoes that arent attached in some way tend to slip at least a little). The laces are standard, look and feel basic, nothing to say really in the positive or negative which is fine. The branding "Aldo" is stamped into the leather in the tongue and ankle - it is small and blends into the leather so it is quite subtle. I think this is a good method as some like the brand visible, others dont (myself), and it is done in a non gawdy way that wont be noticed. All in all I got these to replace a similar style pair of black chukkas that were made of synthetic leather - these completely blow those out of the water in terms of looks and comfort. The best part about these is the ready to go look and feel - if I needed a pair to wear to an event as soon as they arrived, I know these would feel and look great right out of the box. No stiffness or need for treating with anything to get them just right.

I went a long time without finding ankle boots that fit me well enough to warrant actually wearing them. I still haven't found a pair that's perfect for my weird feet, but some previous try-on experiences with ALDO shoes gave me enough confidence to be willing to try these Kenoras. I'm glad I did, as once again ALDO builds in just enough flexibility to the vamp and the upper to accommodate wider feet. Would I wear it 12 hours at a time? Probably not. Would I wear it 4 hours for an evening of fine dining or a concert? Absolutely. I expect that as these go through their break-in period, the level of comfort should continue to improve. The sole is definitely structured and doesn't have a lot of give (nor should it), but if the included insoles aren't soft enough to compliment that, then other medium/thin inserts should more than make up for it.Matters of technical fit aside, these look *good*. They're just as at home with formal dress pants as they are dress jeans. They look perfect out of the box and the included soft bags mean they can stay protected in my closet, too. Having style options is important when you want to look your best, and these ankle boots have given me a great new option for my wardrobe.

I ordered these shoes for my very tall son who has feet to match his height! Size 14 is not an easy size to find; especially without making your feet look enormous! These shoes are very classy and they do not look as though they were made for a clown in the larger size. They actually make your feet look normal. At least, I think they will since I haven't been able to give these to the recipient yet so we can check. But, just looking at them out of the box, they look really good.I took away a star because, even though they do look like a quality shoe, they're not as good a quality as other leather similar leather shoes that are actually leather stitched (as opposed to glued, as these are) and are similar price as these. ALso, the sole of the shoe is not very flexible. In fact, it hardly bends at all so I don't know how comfortable they will be for walking. After he tries them out, I will update this review.The look of this shoe is really great. I ordered the brown suede because that has more of a laid back, "boho" kind of vibe that seems to fit my son's personality more than the black leather, which is a classier, dressier look. Don't get me wrong though, these shoes in the brown ARE classy-just more relaxed.I think he is really going to enjoy these shoes. He's rough on things sometimes so I never can decide if I should get inexpensive items for him because of that or more quality items that might last longer because of that! We'll see how this one turns out and I'll let you know!

My husband is super happy with these! They are comfortable, handsome, and fit well. The quality feels good and I appreciate that they aren't faux leather. Hoping they will hold up well.

I had been looking for a pair of ankle boots (to replace my well loved pair) and was pleased to find these. They are well made and fit perfect. Comfortable right out of the bod and have good arch support too. Stylish and works for business and casual both. My new favorite pair of shoes!A bit on the pricey side but expecting these to last so worth it.

These are now my favorite work shoes to wear! I was looking for a good pair of black work shoes for business casual that are both professional yet stylish. These ones fit the bill with ease. The leather is high quality, they fit perfectly as expected, hold your foot comfortably and securely, and with a really stylish look. All in all, these are great work shoes and I don't see myself ousting them from my top favorite pair anytime soon!

This pair of boots are great for any occasion. The size is at point I normally wear size 9 and for some reasons I ordered 9.5 and it is a little to big for me. So Order your normal size and you will be fine. The quality of leather is very high end and easy to put on. Overall great quality of shoes.
