Excellent fit, cute, supportive flip flop

I am 55 and love cute shoes and at the same time before I buy now I evaluate...too high, too pointed, too flat...no support. I have entered the phase of "need comfortable shoes". However...I'm not ready to wear orthopedic shoes yet either. I want something cute...Brands I wear for comfort are Dansko, birkenstock, mephisto, clarks . I also like Naot and while I dont have wide feet find some of the foot beds in Naot, and mephisto are too narrow. I chose to try Alegria have been looking online at them for several months and then saw this model with all the different colored beads. They fit great. I wear an 8.5 or 9 shoe size and in most european sizes I wear a 39 however I hate it when my toe goes right to the end or my heel is right at the heel end about ready to hang off, if that is the case I go up to a 40. I read the reviews and decided to try the 39 and I am very pleased, there is a about 1/2 inch of the suede showing on the end beyond my toe and a little room on the heel end so they fit great.I have them on right now as I write this and they are very comfortable and love all the beads as there cant be one thing you couldnt wear them with they have every color. Very fun!

I have never tried on an Alegria shoe I didn't like. I have wide feet, size 9&1/2 to 10, so finding an attractive, comfortable shoe can be a challenge. Allegria designs are perfect for my kind of foot. They do make normal width shoes also, which are probably even cuter than my wide ones! The shoe is well made and has good foot support for a normal arch. I have no idea how a high arch would feel in this shoe, but you should give it a try. Heck, you can always return them. Another trick I do, is go to my local higher end shoe store and try on some shoes made by whatever maker I am considering, then come buy them on Amazon for A LOT less. There is also enough cushion in the sole that it has good shock absorption. One caveat is, because they are a sturdy shoe they do take a bit of time to break in. I would recommend just wear them for about an hour to walk in at first, and build up until they have conformed to your foot. They actually remind me of Doc Martins. Challenging to break in, but once you do, they will be faithful for life.

These shoes are so cute and super comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis, so have lots of difficulty finding shoes that I can wear without my orthotics. These cute sandals fit the bill. The only reason they are getting 4 stars instead of 5, is because the adjustable velcro band is not really adjustable. Yes, you can lift the band up and move it. ...which will be helpful if they are too tight ....you can make them wider. But they were too wide for me and I needed to adjust them slightly smaller. You can't really pull them tighter. I had to push the band through the buckle. ...because the band immediately gets wider after the buckle. ...so, the band pops up a bit....a little goofy looking. ...and I'm a little worried that they won't be secure enough because not enough of the velcro is attached. See pic.

I needed wide but these sandals are adjustable and worked very well for adjustment. I bought to wear around the house and not for outside, no problem of being bulky. I have fallen in love with Algeria shoes. Comfort and support!

I loved them

Attractive, fit great and I like the cushiness of foot bed. My foot is a bit wide and these still fine for width though a little longer than the other style I purchased - Valentina. Both are very nice but the Carinas seems to run just a little bit longer, not much tho. The Carina had more space between the top of my toes and the top edge of sandal. Then again, it might be just the shape of my foot. Yet when I tried to compare the 2 styles sole to sole, it was hard to determine for sure b/c of curve, though the Carina seemed a little longer. Anyhow, if you're a half size and undecided which style, I'd go for the Carina and if you wear a whole size, the Alegria Valentina Thong Sandal might be a better fit.

I love these sandals! They are very comfy and look adorable. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review.. the heart shape that's on the strap broke off on the right sandal. I was so disappointed. Is there any way to buy a replacement??? I've had them too long to return them because I bought them in Dec but only just started wearing them 3 weeks ago. So the charm didn't last more than a month. I know this might be petty to some but when you pay a lot of money for a high quality shoe then it should be a high quality shoe. I'm sad. I tried to take a picture but for whatever reason I couldn't get the camera to work. Again, if I could get a replacement charm I'd give you a 10 star if it were possible.
