I've only worn these boots around the house, not on a hiking trip yet. But, they fit absolutely perfectly and are so comfortable right away. I have tried on so many pairs of boots that slip and slide, or pinch toes, or hurt in the instep, etc. I highly recommend these boots. The medium width was perfect. So many other boots run a little too narrow and pinch toes. Thank you Ariat!

The size was not consistent with what I normally wear so I returned the boot and bought the same item locally so I could try it on first
The description stated narrow but I received a medium width. I was told by the customer service representative (who was really nice) that Ariat does not carry narrow footwear. I want to send them back but now I am also out the shipping fees since they don’t pay for returns. Disappointed overall. These are beautiful boots but not suitable for true hiking
Unfortunately, these come up when you search "hiking boots" on Amazon. THESE ARE NOT FOR HIKING. I can't see anyone doing so much as walking down a grassy hill without biting it. The soles, in addition to being slick, have only the tiniest of grooves, so they wouldn't offer grip on any terrain I can imagine. A few other reviewers said the same, but I thought I'd give it a try because most of the reviews were so positive. As work boots, I'd love these--they are comfortable, beautiful, and seem very sturdy and well made. However, please don't buy them if your intent is to hike in them. I'm returning them.
Bought these for my wife and she abuses them daily and they take it with a smile!
