Ariat Mens WorkHog Waterproof Work Boot Aged Bark/Army Green 13 Narrow

I bought these for my son who had started a new job at Discount Tire. He had never worn work boots before but rather swore by Nikes and other types of shoes that would offer him no protection at all at work. He accepted them "kicking and screaming". Fast forward 10 months and you will find that I have since bought him 3 more pairs of Ariat boots for various occasions (at his request!). He loves their fit, style and comfort and now refuses to wear anything but Ariat. This particular style boot is still his favorite. They keep his feet dry and warm while working in a wet and cold environment.SIZING: as expected. He normally wears a size 13 and that is what I ordered for him. He said they were a little snug in the beginning but they stretched out to be perfect within a couple of daysCOMFORT: If he could sleep in them as well, he would have. He now thinks these are more comfortable than his beloved Nikes.WATERPROOF: They keep his feet warm and dry even while collecting tires in the snow.SOLES: Provide excellent traction!BREAK-IN PERIOD: None!Great boot! I have always wanted a pair of cowboy boots. I tried on several but none of them really went with my wardrobe. I have to wear suits for my job and I needed a pair of boots that I could wear in the winter. When I found these, I was skeptical given the fact that no other ones I tried really worked for me. These were different. The toe does not narrow down so much that my feet look like little nubs. They are stylish and so far are really waterproof - I stepped in a deep puddle and no moisture inside! I followed the reviews and ordered a half size down. I normally wear a size 11 shoe, but the 10.5 fit perfectly. They are also incredibly comfortable. I have a standing desk at work and stand all day and they did not bother me (I run in minimalist sneakers and the heel rise has not bothered me even when I am standing 8-9 hours a day at my desk). Also, the minimal stitching design at the top of the boot gives them the cowboy feel without going overboard. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the market for a waterproof boot!

I have a hard time getting my foot into most western style boots, so I wasn't sure about these. But they fit perfectly. I can get them on and off with little difficulty, and they are all day comfortable so far. I've only had them for about a week, but so far I love them. Comfortable great looking and the tread and non slip worked great on ice and snow from the resent storms. I can't comment on the long term, but they are great right outta the box...

I ride a motorcycle an hour each way to work every day. After getting caught in the rain a few times, I soon took to wearing boots as my primary footwear. I needed high boots and hate all that lacing, I found western boots suited me well. Some brands did not feel right for me from the start, but I did find a few pairs of other brands that I liked. Yet, once I got my first pair of Ariats, I was sold. They have been the best fit and comfort for me. After several years of wearing Ariat western boots, I decided that I would look into waterproof boots. I also wanted to try boots with a lower heel as I have wondered if some of my back problems might be aggravated by the higher heel in some western boots. So, I decided to try the Ariat Workhog. The fit seemed perfect when I first put them on. However, the boots quickly loosened up as they broke in. After reading some of the reviews, I became a bit concerned that they would become TOO loose. Part of the deal here is that they are NOT western boots. They are more like engineer style boots. The high heal of western boots shoves your foot into the toe, giving you that snug feel. It had been a long time since I wore engineer boots, but recalled how they had a little "swim" to them. I have been growing to like this feel, and they are not getting TOO loose...not even close to causing any rubbing, irritation or even hinting at blisters that I had experienced with engineer boots years ago. These boots are a LOT warmer than my western boots (riding in single digit temps this year) and I found they actually stay warmer with one pair of socks than two! I think these are my new favorite boot, and I am likely to get another pair in another color.

Great fit. Very comfortable to wear. I work in HVAC, and standing on ladders all day used to kill my feet. With these boots, I can go all day and not have aching feet when I get home. They fit great, a little snug at first but after a few weeks they opened right up. They are waterproof, but I'd still recommend going over them with Hubberds or mink oil beforehand. They are NOT insulated, so while they are great to wear during the summer, (they get a little warm, but what leather boots don't), winter I've found they're good down to about 20 degrees. All said, I'd definitely buy these again. Only reason this got a 4 star is because I've only had them for a few months and can't speak to the longevity. Will update in about a year.

There a very well made boot this is my second pair I have purchased would recommend to anybody!

It’s been a couple months and I am well pleased with these boots. They are definitely waterproof. The soles have good grip on a variety of surfaces: even big granite boulders I went over when I was hunting. Working 12hrs in variable terrain is no problem.Like all cowboy boots, they were snug for a couple days; but after break-in, they are the most comfortable footwear I have owned.The footbed could use more cushion; but that is a stretch to make a complaint about because they still feel very good.
