Ariat Womens Magnolia Western Boot Distressed Brown 6.5 Wide

So I have decided that either nobody knows their actual shoe size, or shoe makers are so inconsistent that it's a gamble everytime you buy shoes (without trying them on). So, here is how this boot fit for ME. I can wear anything between a 7 and an 8 (depending on the brand). On the day I bought these, only 8s were available with prime shipping, so that's what I went with. They are a more narrow shoe, and are a tad tight across the top of the foot (which after a short period of wearing has already begun to stretch). My heel does slip a bit, a 7.5 may have fixed that. HOWEVER, if I had purchased these in a 7.5 I believe I would have run into problems in the toe area. As stated before these are narrow, and they are a narrow round toe, tapered very much like a pointy toe high heel (without the point). If these were any smaller in the toe area, my toes would be pinched and would rub. All of this is with thin summer socks. In the winter, with a heavier sock, they will be even more snug. So, MY final verdict: go with your "regular" size. As for a review of this shoe, it is super cute. I purchased the distressed brown. It is a beautiful light chocolatey brown. The stitching is a lighter brown, so it is subtle but still beautiful (I'm not a fan of overly colorful, flashy, studded, etc, boots). There IS a cream colored piping along the top of these. I personally am indifferent to it. Yes, it would probably be a little better without it, but again, it's not a deal breaker for me because it is also quite subtle. They are super comfortable. I have a high arch, and was shocked at how supported my arch was. They have a nice "cushioned" ride, which was a pleasant surprise. I have 15" calves, and finding boots (like all the cute ones girls like to wear in the fall) is typically a nightmare for me, I can never get them zipped! These, however, make my legs look thin and give me plenty of room to even tuck my jeans in! Hope my review is more helpful to someone than what was available when I was agonizing over size!

A little about me so you can put this review in perspective.- I love boots and generally wear them year round despite the hot and humid summers.- I care about the quality, durability and comfort of a boot, or shoe. I DO NOT brand name shop just to "keep up the jones'". My feet, knees and back are important to me.- I will wear between a 1.5" and 2.5" heel. Again, I care more about my feet, knees and back then fashion. It is not natural to walk around on 6" heels.This is the third pair of Ariat boots I have purchased from Amazon. (Saratoga, size 10; Floral Embroidered Wingtip, size 10; Magnolia, size 11). I have been very happy with all three pair of boots. Overall, they have fit true to size; hug my foot while wearing thick nike socks; And, I can wear them all day without hurting. I have never had to "break" them in or gotten blisters. The boot is made with a good quality leather and they are put together very well. Overall, they are worth the money you spend on them.I have recently had to start wearing orthotics. The Magnolia and Wingtip boots have a removable insoles. The size 10 with my orthotics is slightly snug wearing thick socks. I tried the size 11 with my orthotics and they are slightly big. I've worn the size 11, with my orthotics, all day and decided it is a better size. My foot had room to swell so it was actually more comfortable. It's improtant to mention I was standing in them all day and did not sit down much.

These boots are so comfortable and cute! I’m a size 6 in women’s regular shoes, but got a 6.5 and they fit perfect!

First, I really like the color and style - typical cowboy boots. I did some work outside, they got a little scuffed and it just made them look better and more authentic. The sole is comfy right off the bat. I do have a high arch and they are OK with that, but a little tight across the top of my foot, but the leather is starting to stretch better to fit. Right now, I can wear them several hours, but I know once that stretches, they will be perfect all day. I wear a women size 10, but I swear sometimes maybe I am closer to a 10.5 since some shoes are tight. Well, I got these in a 10 and they are perfect - no pinched toes at all! So, for size, I think if you are a little on the smalled end of your size, you might want to go down, but if you are like me, your true size is probably fine.

I love these boots! The fit is perfect! I'm a 6.5, and ordered a 6.5. I tried them on with a regular pair of socks, and the fit is still great. Very comfortable! Well made. I also have large calves, too small for wide calf boots but too large for regular non-cowgirl boots. They still fit snugly on my calves but plenty of room for jeans/ leggings and to fit 4 fingers in on sides. If you have regular sized calves they'll still be super comfortable, cute, and easy to put on. I just love love love these boots!

Lovely boots. Color is true to the picture, like a palomino or light butterscotch. For those for whom heel height is important, the heel measures7/8" where it joins the sole toward the front and 2" at the back. Overall a nice moderate height that is easy on the ball of the foot. The boot hugs my foot nicely across the instep. It's pretty snug at first but loosens up a bit once it warms up. The upper portion is sized generously and fits my 15" calf with room to spare. I like the grip tight sole for stability because at age 68, I don't want to be slipping around. My evaluation is based on wear on hard surface around the house thus far, but it seems these boots will be more comfortable than I could hope for.

Bought these boots for my 12 year old to wear to places *other* than the barn, so I can’t speak to durability in the work environment but these are a nice boot for street wear and live up to Ariat’s quality of construction.
