I use them for trail walking and snow shoveling. Very light, comfortable, and breathable. They run small in length and especially width. I usually take 8.5 wide or 9-9.5 regular. But I got 9.5 wide, and 10.5 regular also fit OK. I hope they last.
I've been wearing Astral shoes for nearly 10 years. Inconsistent sizing across models has always been a problem, but this takes the cake. I bought size 10.5 because that is what size my Rasslers are and they fit a little snug. These came in today and they fit like a size 11.5. The soles of the Pisgahs are nearly an inch longer than the soles of the Rasslers and the fit is WAY too big. Super disappointing.
I read a lot of reviews on these before my purchase. One of the most common criticisms was that they were tight and to go up a half size. I normally wear a size 12 and unfortunately astral doesn't make this boot in a 12.5. So I went out on a limb and ordered the size 13 and I'm glad I did. They are very comfortable with grippy soles. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the roomy toe box, however this is how the boot is designed to be. I can't give a long term review of these yet because I've only had them a day but I really think I am going to like them.
