Make sure order half size bigger fit well and comfortable
I ordered a 9 EE and got the standard 9W. Couldn't even move my toes at all with just a normal white calf length sock on. That's a serious no-go. The overall design and construction of the boot was above my expectations for the price. They just run small. I kind of float in between a 9 EE and a 9EEE, depending on the brand of boot. I actually called Belleville and spoke with a representative, and they only make one boot design that is in my size, but it's like $100 more a pair. I'm pretty picky about my foot gear just from active duty and private sector work. You go with what you know works. And if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Kind of sucks having Fred Flintstone feet and hands lol!
Not true to size. Order half size up.
Ordered a size smaller as recommended by the company. I was unsure but went ahead and purchased them. When they arrived I tried them on and fit perfectly. They are so comfortable and feels like I’m wearing running shoes. Highly recommend. Plus when I bought them they were on discount so that was even better.
Best Army boot I've worn in nearly 20 years. ;)
Like the other AMRAP model, these run narrow for the brand. The laces on these are also short. For the wide-footed, you can fix the width with a pair of boot spreaders, and laces are cheap and easy enough to replace.Due to the sole materials, these probably won't last all that long; certainly not as long as a pair of clunky boots. You'll have to decide if a shorter boot life is a good trade-off for increased comfort. These are much easier on my old feet than the issue boots, and that's become more important to me over the years than longevity.
Rewriting this review to give them a more fair shakeComfort - After a week or 2 break in they are Comfortable. They have a good lining that is very enveloping. This could be bad in heat. But this will be great for fall winter and earlier spring months.Water proofing - use mink oil on the leather parts because they soak up water being a rough out boot.Stitching - There needs to be more of it. The 2 lines on the boot are not enough for rough wear.Midsole - Very cushiony and bouncy. Probably won't hold up to anything other than Walking. In this it does what it says.Sole - its quick wearing rubber so i'm not sure these boots will last a year of normal use. But the sole IS grippy and good on slippery surfaces. There are cheaper comparable options out there that offer more fore less $$$ like Free soldier (some of their boots are goofy but a few of their models nail it)
