Let me start by saying that I can never wear much of a heel because my toes and ball of the foot always hurt. The most I can normally manage is about 1.5 inches. But these wedges are incredibly comfortable. I love how the elastic fits snugly to my foot. When I first put them on, the elastic was a bit too snug, but I figured it would stretch a bit, so I didn't worry about it. They have gradually stretched, but not dramatically, which is great.These shoes are so hot looking; walking around in them, I feel like a million bucks, and since I can't normally wear shoes with much of a heel, these make me feel tall (I'm 5' 1").The only down side of this shoe is that if they are very snug when you first get them, you have to be careful that the individual elastics in the strap that goes over the instep don't get twisted when you put them on. I had to keep untwisting mine until I learned to place my index finger under the strap while putting them on, moving my finger across the foot to smooth the strap from underneath. This is easily done, and it keeps them from twisting.I had the benefit of trying these on in a store to get the right size. As it turned out, the store didn't have the combination of style, size and color I wanted, so I wound up ordering them here. The sizing is European. I wear a 6 1/2 - 7 med width and I take a 36 in these, which is a size smaller than the salesperson in the store thought I should wear. This brings my heel right to the back and my toe up almost to the very front. The 37 is a roomier fit, but they slipped in the back, which I didn't like, and I figured, if they stretched a fair amount over time, then the 37 would eventually be much too big.The store where I tried these on had them on sale for about $60, and I was happy to find them for the same price here.This is one of the nicest, most unique pairs of shoes I've ever owned. I can't wait to order them in different colors and styles. This won't be my last pair of Bernie Mevs!

Too large, had to return

I love these shoes! I get compliments all the time but the best part is how comfortable they are. It’s nice to wear something this comfortable and look dressed up.

I really like the comfort. The size is a little off because my foot slides to the front of the shoe and comes off my heel. If I had gotten a smaller size my toe would go over the edge. I think I can buy a cushion to make the fit better.

This is my second pair of Bernie Mev wedge sandals, and I took them with me to a conference in Philadelphia. After wearing a different brand of sandals the first day of the conference, I developed a huge friction blister. I decided to switch to the Bernie Mev shoes, and they were wonderful. The cushy sole and snug fit ensured that my feet didn't rub and blister further, and even though I was on my feet all day in hot, humid weather, my feet felt great. So happy I bought these and brought them with me!

I was so excited to get these. They are stylish, well made and I got a ton of compliments on them. The toe openings was extremely tight. My feet are narrow so this was unexpected especially since they fit perfect in every other way. I had hoped that regular wear would break them in a bit and stored them with stress balls in the toe opening but nothing helped. I ended up giving them to my daughter and ordering a 9 but they ate significantly bigger.

Very comfortable while still looks good enough to wear with my skirts to church. Bronze color goes with anything. I had a pair that looks like them I had about worn out so was very happy to be able to replace them. I would probably order the navy if available in my size.

This review is directed towards seller. Bernie Mev shoes are generally quite comfortable and it is the reason I purchase them. The seller has advertised the size of this product as being 9.5-10. There is no size called 9.5-10. Those are two different sizes, either one's foot size is 9.5 or 10. I thought it was odd but since I indicated 10. I thought that is what I'd be sent. Apparently I was sent 9.5. Shoes are way too tight. Just wore them yesterday and toes were in such pain I nearly twisted my ankle trying to change my gait in a painful attempt to find relief. I am outraged. I loved these shoes so much that I purchased 3 of the same style last time I purchased. I am outraged at this deceptive move.
