I was a Born addict for many years until they got all trendy and chunky and 17-year old girly and stuff. I was so addicted to them not just because I loved their woven sandals and loafers and their durability, but because their fit was perfect for someone like me who has absurdly high arches and moves around a lot.I'm glad to see they've begun to return to their senses. TBH, I thought I was ordering Birkenstocks which I'd come to rely on, and I was surprised when I first put them on because the arch support was even better than Birkenstocks and the cushioning ... oh my, perfect. Then I realized they were Borns---what was once and maybe is again the perfect shoe for people like me with very high arches and legs that demand a lot of support.Welcome back, Born. Keep this up and I'll become a regular again.
So, I liked them for awhile until recently. I’ve had them for exactly a year now and there’s a big hole in the felt on top of the right shoe and it looks like it’s happening to the left in the exact same spot. They are not made to last. Just glad I got them on a very good sale.
Okay, so these clogs are cute and fit well. The biggest plus is that they are very comfortable with a cushioned footbed. On the other hand, they are pricey and to me, are not worth that kind of money. Also, I ordered brown and unless I am colorblind, they are a maroon color. It’s not really unattractive but I wanted a more neutral color. I gave these 4 out of 5 stars because of this issue. Other than that, if you don’t mind the price, you’ll probably be happy you purchased them.
While Born is generally a good poduct, this slipper insole is uncomfortable and made my feet ache. I expected the softness of a "slipper," but in reality the insole was more rigid than a "slipper," and was much narrower than the actual shoe. The outsole and wooly upper were quality workmanship, but the shoe might have felt better with the extra room the insole took up. And, maybe just a thin flat sole instead of a molded one. After all it is a "slipper"! No problems with delivery. Would recommend to the right feet!
Great fit and very comfortable
These fit like a barefoot shoe. Sole is flexible and foot shaped. Wool breathes well!
I saw these shoes in a store and ordered them for my trip to Germany. I have worn them twice and they squeak so loudly. It’s embarrassing! And disappointing.
I love these shoes!! So comfortable but the soles are not for hardwood floor. Too slippery. Not sure they would hold up outdoors either. Sadly I had to return.
