Hey, I admit it: as a 5’5” guy (with a 5’7” wife), I’ve gotten used to and am fine with being the shorter of us and it doesn’t hurt my ego... but I’ve always wondered what life would be like with even a few extra inches. And what it would be like to dance with my wife when she wears heals... in other words, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be taller.I’ve heard of elevator shoes. I’ve heard some celebrities wear them. But I’ve never seen them or tried any on before. When I had the chance to grab these CALTO Men's Invisible Height Increasing Elevator Shoes I took it - I had to know. Even at 2 - 3 inches more, things had to be... different.They arrived today and we were both fascinated... what would this really be like... Both my wife and I were blown away by the look, the change, all of it. These CALTO Men's Invisible Height Increasing Elevator Shoes are great. Yea, it is a whole new world, even with just a couple inches difference.The presentation here is well done. The shoebox includes a catalog of more CALTO shoes, a shoehorn, and the shoes in cloth bags to protect them. A nice presentation is always good, not always there, but appreciated as providing some nice details. I had the choice between the black and brown and went with the black as I liked the idea of the darker color with certain outfits. Great choice - it looks really nice. Some directions it has a patent leather look to it, but from other ways the pattern in the surface is much more visible. Either way it’s a really handsome shoe. I like the buckle look and find it to add a touch of class. The bottoms are as good as and as nice as any other dress shoes I’ve got, also as slippery. Now slippery when in my “normal” shoes is... interesting, but in elevator shoes... yea, I’ll admit I had a few, shall we say, interesting moments.You really cannot see the “elevator” from the outside - they look completely normal. Sliding them on (using the included shoehorn - was easy. They looked great. And they felt... weird. I mean, they felt exactly like any dress shoe, but ... different. Standing it was immediately clear for both of us how different the height is. Who knew 2 - 3 inches were SO different... For the first time in twenty five years I was looking down on my wife (in a positive way) and she was getting excited about the idea of wearing heals. I’ve read in the CALTO marketing materials and other sights where I looked up elevator shoes, that they can be “good for your posture” and make you stand a bit taller. Honestly, I don’t know how “healthy” they are, but I know when I was wearing them, I totally stood taller. They work and look great with my normal dress socks.Size: I am a true size 8. This pair of CALTO Men's Invisible Height Increasing Elevator Shoes is slightly large for my feet. I try to show the extra room around the sides in some of the pictures. But here’s the thing... I don’t have a problem here. 1. Yes, slightly larger in dress socks, not sure what would happen in thicker socks. 2. They feel “good” or at least decent on the bottom, but as I’d been “warned” in a couple articles about such shoes, there is a feeling of being tilted forward. Nothing bad, but noticeable. I assume this is similar to how women feel in heals. It didn't disrupt my walking, but I noted the strangeness of it. 3. Between the tilt and the largeness and what I was finding to be a lack of arch support - I very often need to wear inserts - we had the idea of trying my inserts here. Grabbed a set, tucked them in - they fit great - and slide them back on - PERFECT. 4. Okay, there is still a bit of a loose feeling, but I’m fine at solving this by adding a set of those heel inserts to keep my feet from rubbing. So here, in the end, I don’t know if in the future I should size down, or stay with this size and be able to use my own arch support inserts - which really works great for me with this first pair.In the end I am thrilled with these CALTO Men's Invisible Height Increasing Elevator Shoes. I always wondered and now no longer have to... it’s a really great thing to have. No, I won’t always were elevator shoes in the future, but now that I have, I am most certainly going to wear them often. My wife is so happy and impressed she too was looking through the included catalog (I’ve also looked at the CALTO Amazon store page) and said we will most certainly be getting more. Listen, I don’t mind being the shorter one. I am actually, truly comfortable in this. But as a short guy walking through life, I have always wondered... and now even these extra 2 - 3 inches are in many ways, life changing. So yea, I’ll be ordering more in the future.
These platform dress shoes are fantastic! The dark color of the shoe really helps in selling the illusion that they're regular shoes. I walked up to my family at a recent reunion and asked them "Why are you so short?" as I towered over everyone while wearing these. They could not believe their eyes. The shoes are comfortable and provide a solid height increase that is noticeable. Being vertically challenged in today's world is a pain, so these are necessary if you want to get the job, get the promotion, or get the girl. Now I'm just waiting for platform steel toe work boots!

5/5 These shoes are really nice. They have a great shiny gloss on the exterior, perfect for a suit or tux. In addition, they give at least two inches of lift on the heel and gradually slopes down at the toes so it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing high heels. They have a soft interior and are comfortable for a dressy shoe. They fit true to size. Nice shoes!
These shoes look and fit great. I have multiple pairs of Calto shoes and the sizes have always been consistent and true to size. These shoes are no different -- they fit perfect!The rough outer material of these shoes looks good and adds character. They look just like the shoes in the online pictures. The shoes are comfortable to wear all day (over 8 hrs.) without foot fatigue.The shoes also offer the added height, without feeling as though you are walking around in high-heel shoes.
