I was worried about the sizing on this shoe after reading some of the reviews, but this fits true to size. I wear a 10.5 US on all my other shoes, and this fit perfectly. The extra space referred to by another reviewer at the toe is by design. They don't look like clown shoes. My foot is a bit wide and this shoe accommodates that perfectly. The leather is soft and supple right out of the box. The sole is also soft and quiet on the floor. This was a concern as I have a pair of CK derby style shoes that sound like wooden clogs when I walk on my hardwood floor with them. These are much more quiet. I'm not a fan of people being able to hear me coming from down the hall, so these shoes are great in that sense. The perforated leather looks good with chinos or with a suit. They give texture to your overall outfit.There is a bit of discomfort at the top of the upper where the tongue and laces meet on the right foot, but that has already begun to lessen as they break in after a few days' wear. BTW there was very little "break-in" time needed as they were comfortable in all day wear situations from the first day.
Beautiful, dark brown, plain toe derbies. I was specifically looking for a nice set of brown shoes that stayed away from the more orangey shade of brown that dominates the market these days. I like that color, but it does not always match the suits I wear. This pair definitely achieved that end. Very comfortable shoes. Maybe a little tight in the toe box, but didn't feel overly tight. I wear a 10 or a 10 wide depending on the shoe and I was able to fit comfortably in the standard 10 for this shoe. Overall I would definitely recommend them.

I wear an 8.5 in Nike and 7.5 in Calvin Klein. I chose to order these shoes in 7.5 and fit good. Now, it will start a little tight because I do wear wide. Since these are lace-up shoes, the tightness will also depend on the type of socks that you wear. Great purchase and a great price point.
The following applies to the first week of purchase/wear:Out of the box, these shoes look exactly like the photos, though they aren't as shiny as you may expect. That is very easily remedied though, if you use a bit of shoe polish. I had best results with Meltonian branded polish/cream.The laces do not appear to be leather, which doesn't bother me and is just a call out for those who find this important. The eyelets for the laces are reinforced with a little metal rivet thing on the underside. Some shoes don't have this feature and their eyelets will deform, so it was a pleasant surprise to find this feature.The leather for the shoe is pretty stiff, but that's out of the box. It should break in as I wear it more. I will follow up with additional comments.The fit for me was excellent and is comfortable, though it is a bit lacking in terms of cushioning and arch support.
My husband could not wait to get these shoes! He loved them. He liked them because they were not shiny and felt that he could use these as "everyday" wear. He is on his feet ALL DAY so comfort is a big must for him.
