I was needing some soft shoes for an Irish Dancing class and was able to get fitted at a local store but they didn't have the wide style that I needed. Found the size I needed there and came to amazon to purchase. The sizing was about a the same as I wear in tennis shoes but I tend to get my tennis shoes a little large. Should be a 12-1.5 but typically get a 13 in tennis shoes. Here I purchased 13. There is a small amount of room in the toe and they are tight but they are supposed to be.
I typically wear a size 10.5 and I ordered the size 11. Fit is excellent. Nice soft leather uppers to conform to your feet. There is a modest amount of padding on the ball of the foot....I didn't expect much so I'm happy with what I have. The shoe glides on the floor and I am able to do turns. Perfect jazz dance shoe.
They're good shoes, lightweight, good material. I usually wear an 8.5, saw the reviews so I bought a 9. They were too tight so I bought 9.5 and they're still too small :(
“E” series jazz oxford are good quality. Although personal preference is a solid sole, the split sole design seemingly keeps integrity for arching, flexing and impact. Normally wear a 7 to 7.5 US shoe size. Recommend sizing up for 3 reasons, different heel to toe shapes, sock thickness and past experience of natural material wear and dehydration over time. Purchased a size 8 and fits with room for tights and thin to thick socks with plenty of lacing length to tie a double knotted bow. Shoe is not too large sizing up.
Liked the softness but unfortunately shoe was too small and no real support
These shoes fit my foot like a glove and, as such, they have absolutely no support. It's almost like being barefoot. They do not look substantial, and I expect they would not stand up to vigorous activity or hard use, but I bought them for Tai chi, and they will be perfect, as they do not grab the floor. I typically wear a 9.5 or 10, I bought a 10, and the length is perfect. These will not accomodate a wide foot.
Despite being marked (and marketed) as wide, they are barely 3" across at the ball footpad. While I know that they run small, my previous Capezio character shoes were 3" as a medium width. Quality of product is as high as expected, but the fit is awful. Absolutely returning these.
Just got into "contra dancing" and was recommended to get this brand of shoe. My feet felt great after a night of dancing.
