Love them!
Ok, I have a pair of these not from Amazon. I thought they were made in America but no they are made in China. These boots have a cancer warning proposition 65 California requirement evidently Walt Disney does as well but this is still a negative against it. The boot is durable, it's shoe laces are horrible, and the inside sole degrades quickly. After getting a good pair of soles from a store with some good laces these boots are good. Your feet WILL NOT get cold in the winter, they are water proof, and they are cheaper than red wing and wolverine. They look nice new and beat up, have great traction, and the outer sole is tough and will not fail by coming off, wearing out, or stich failure. I fought against wolverine and these for my second purchase and went with these again. They also make an outstanding motorcycle boot but the clutch lever will leave it's mark on the boot (tour bikes and sport bikes NOT track bikes). Stepping in heavy brush will not be worried about snake bites in te boot area. The leather seems to be a good quality, easy to break in, and easy to scuff. If your looking for a cheap, long lasting, good looking boot this is it. If you never wore steel toes this boot is HEAVY. The heel takes a while to get used to but when you do you actually get used to it and enjoy the fact that you can dig the heel into dirt etc. It's an excellent all around cheaper boot that's durable. If you are looking for a boot for casual use this may be on the heavy side for you but if your ever caught in the apocalypse you will last for several years before needing to swap them out. Go give them a try, however if you can drop between 60-100 more you (I think) can get redwing and get away from the cancer label. My best friend and sidekick (my Siberian Husky) is full grown adult so I don't worry about him chewing them. If he was still a puppy I wouldn't have hesitated on taking them back or giving them away. So if you do plan on getting a puppy in the next 3 years or so DO NOT GET THESE. I had redwing and wolverine the entire time he was a puppy, they are more expensive but as far as I know, they have no hazards. It's not worth giving the pup a possibility of getting cancer. The loss or sickness of your best buddy is well worth the extra money on a worry free home and contents inside.
