These shoes are godsends, I wore them NYE 2015 and my feet did not hurt the whole night. They were so comfortable, I was dancing, standing and walking the entire night like from 10 pm - 4 am, without any pain. The heels are not too tall, I did not feel like I was standing on stilts, and they were very fashionable, I got compliments the whole night. Most of the time my feet hurt really bad with heels after a few hours. These were amazing ! Love them, great product.
This shoe has sooo much appeal. I love the platform look and the height and slender design of the heel. I order a 10.5 and and 11, i returned the 11 as slightly to big. The 10.5 would be a perfect fit if they were W. Unfortunately, J&D rarely make 10.5W in their shoes. A snug fit but nevertheless, they look good on my feet and for the limited wear and use i have in mind, these shoes are a keeper!
These are my all time favorite nude pumps. I originally purchased them on sale a few years ago and loved them so much that I bought multiple other colors. My first pair recently bit the dust after three years of consistent wear, so I purchased them again. I'm technically a 10.5, but no one ever carries that size. These 10's fit slightly large, so they're perfect for my 10.5 feet.I don't like uncomfortable heels, and I ditch them quickly. I wore these to a wedding recently and danced A LOT at the reception without taking them off. Don't get me wrong - they're still heels - but they're the most comfortable heels that I've found that don't look "old lady." Note that the undertones are more yellow than pink.
The quality and style of the shoe is beautiful. I love them the minute I saw them and was disappointed that they are too big it seems. I purchased my normal size 8.5 and the shoe is about a half-size too big. I did not send them back because I am in the Bahamas and that would be too costly and also I am not sure if they had a smaller size anyway.
Beautiful and high quality leather upper. Stitched in sole. Very sharp. Fits perfect and I would say my foot is average width. Easy to walk in for such a high heel which shows some thought went into the design.
I ordered this shoe in hopes it was what I was looking for. Unfortunately it came late, while I was on my vacation, and I could not return it.The colors are off and the shoes fits very narrow. The front part is extremely pointy, which I don't like. I have no use for this shoe and couldn't even find anyone that wanted it for free. I would not recommend this shoe.
Shoes fit nicely and are great if I am in sitting in meetings or at my desk all day. I have owned this pair for a couple months now, hoping to break them in; the material is just too firm, very painful on top, where the shoe hits top of tow base. Not enough flex and forgiveness on days where I must do a lot of walking during the day. Luckily I have other reliable platform shoes for this however I am still looking for a true patent leather platform that will get me through a busy day!
I had not had any trouble with the fitting of Joan & David shoes in the past, and actually I own a pair of size 9 of their's in a different style, so I was surprised how tight this pair of shoes were. Unfortunately, these are not tight fitting jeans you can get into if you only take one deep breath -- LOL. Seriously, since patent leather do not "give much" as I wear them I am sorry to say I must return them. I liked everything else about the shoe except how it fits. A girl cannot (and should not) walk around with hurting feet all day.
