I have bone spurs that come and go. Not very bad but they can at times make it so I miss a day of work because I can't walk. I've been wearing these for about a week and I even went to a baseball game and entered the opposite end of where I was seated. Needless to say I walked a lot that day. A lot !! My feet are feeling great. I'm so glad I got these after reading reviews of people being on their feet with these shoes and how happy they were with them. They're a great pair if shoes. Comfortable, and they look great in shirt and ties and just as good with jeans on.Only downside is maybe they run a tad too big. But they still fit comfortably. I guess if I was younger I would "have room to grow" but I'm not so they're a little big in that sense.
UPDATE, 18 months later: I have been wearing this Pickett model every day and I walk a lot. The sole on this ultra-light shoe will last a year under these conditions, no longer. I have worn out a pair of black and brown, and wearing out a second pair of each at the moment. I really, really like these shoes, a great walking shoe, but they are not going to last. You will need to replace them if you walk a lot. That isn't true of most other classic Clarks shoes, which last 5+ years, maybe even 10 years.---------------I was a big fan of the Clarks Senator model in years past, which now seems to be discontinued, but this Pickett slip-on model is very similar. I own it in brown and black. The build quality is excellent, typical of Clarks shoes, it is very lightweight but a great walking shoe. The inner soul is not super padded, but is removable if you want to go with something more beefy. I walk about 5 miles a day and this shoe is always comfortable. I was skeptical because of the light weight, but it works.
These shoes are very good. They look good, especially in brown. They are very comfortable. One could practically go jogging in these shoes. The only negative is that they can squeak - which I hate. This particular shoe does NOT have a rubber (out)sole, but instead has a plastic one -- excuse me, "polyurethane."That is the only drawback.I bought a pair of the brown ones after seeing my friend's pair. He likes to be comfortable at work, so he also bought a pair of the black ones. The shoes does look good - though personally, I think the brown one looks much nicer than the black - the real value is in their comfort level. Finally, these shoes fit quite well / true-to-size (in a size 9). I have average feet (maybe even slightly narrow?), but they are comfy. They are, apparently wide, for those who wear wide. My friend must wear wide shoes and in these shoes he could even wear down a size (from 10.5 to 9.5) as his feet are still comfortable in these. (So, if you normally wear wide shoes, you should be comfortable in these.)Hope this review helps.
In my biased opinion, what more do i have to say other than "CLARK'S". They make and great quality product. About me. I am a heavy person with flat, very wide feet. I cannot purchase regular shoes or sneakers from let’s say foot locker or similar stores because of this those shoes cause havoc on my feet. And, that is if i can even fit their shoes on due to how wide my feet are. I usually have to order online or drive out to NJ to a high end shoe store for quality shoes. I usually buy Clark’s for $200-$250 a pair in the store. It’s nice to find them on amazon for cheaper. The Clark’s brand is for those with jacked up feet like me. They are true to size and provide superior comfort comparable to other brands. They are the mercedies benz of shoes with regards to quality. I highly recommend. i am more of an oxford shoelace style shoe person but, i wanted to try a slip on. Wow. they are perfect. And the leather is very good quality. i am buying this same shoe in brown as well.
They look nice and I hope they just need some break-in. I am a clarks fan and have been ever since I bought a pair 10 years ago for doing door to door sales. Clarks lasted longer and worked better than many brands I tried. Purchased the brown pair in size 8 and they really do look great. They were a bit stiff out of the box which I expected but not too uncomfortable. The first couple times I wore them were office days. I notice they are slightly larger than other size 8's but not too bad. Now I've worn them a week or so and at the end of the day my today, the tops of my feet are sore. It came on gradually but I think I'll switch shoes for a few days and try again. Keep you posted.
I've got clown feet... size 13 wide. I also work in a business casual environment and need shoes that work w/ my slacks and a button down shirt. This is my second pair of Clarks Unstructured shoes. I've got a pair of lace-up cap-toe Oxfords, but I know that you aren't supposed to wear the same shoes day after day (they need a bit of time to dry out), so I picked up these.I tried 2 or 3 other pairs, but couldn't find anything as comfortable as my Clarks Oxfords, so I ordered these. They feel broken in as soon as you put 'em on and feel even better 2-3 days later. The soles are amazingly light for dress shoes.I'm giving up and only ordering Clarks Unstructured for work. High quality, attractive and comfortable (plus they offer a wide size). What else do you want?
I really love these shoes. This is my third pair. No breaking in period. Take out the box and wear on you longest day. I'm a flight attendant and these shoes are perfect. No metal so no need to take them off at security. Easy to slip off when I get to my layover hotel after a long flight. Good support. Only flaw is the sole. Towards the front the material breaks off in small pieces. Maybe I just wear them to death. I've noticed that sole of this new pair has a firmer sole. So we will see how these wear. The brakes on the beverage cart may also be a factor in the sole chipping away towards the front. Over all I love these shoes an I would recommend them to anyone who wants a stylish shoe that is extremely comfortable.
