Donald J Pliner "Corin" pump. This pump has a soft square toe with a chunky 2 inch heel. The upper is Donald J Pliner's signature crepe elastic, and is fully leather lined. Outsole is leather with a rubber plug for better wear and comfort. The heel has a patent leather wrap with electroplating inside the heel. When the feet are uncomfortable, so is the mind and body. With these words, Donald J Pliner has committed his life to the quality and perfection of an innovative line of shoes. A life-long and family tradition is continued with his luxuriously comfortable footwear that never compromises creativity or fashion. Visionary designer Donald J Pliner launched his line of luxury footwear and accessories in 1989, and immediately established a reputation for innovative design and high style for both men and women. Pioneering new materials, such as stretchable micro-fibers, he also brought unprecedented comfort, flexibility, and lightness to footwear. Born into a Chicago-based family shoe business, life at DJP is also a family affair. Creative director Lisa Pliner, Donald's wife and frequent model for the innovative ad campaigns, works side-by-side with him to develop each new collection, inserting her artist's vision into the designs, colors and textures. And the Pliner's pure white Maltese, BabyDoll, is ever present, inspiring her own clothing line for the past three years. Today this global brand, manufactured in both Italy and Spain, has established an almost cult following among people who were originally attracted by the fashion-forward style, but return again and again for the comfort and craftsmanship.

I tried on many, many pairs of shoes to go with a faux wrap black dress I was wearing to a fund raising dinner. I wanted something that wasn't evening wear, but something with more style than the typical black pump. I have worn Donald Pliner shoes before and loved them and these looked like they would be the perfect solution --- and they were! The shoe is very stylish. Black matte fabric on the foot with a patent leather accent up the back of the shoe as well as the heel. I don't think the picture shows it very well, but there is a silver plate on the inside of the heel which the product page describes as electroplating. It is one of those small touches that make the shoe feel luxurious and shows the attention to detail of the designer. Because they are a bit dressier without being flashy, they provide a lot of flexibility as far as looking good with various ensembles.Overall comfort/sizing -- The shoe runs a bit large. I ended up going with a 9.5 but needed to add a pad under the ball of the foot to keep my foot in the correct position for my foot not to slide forward too much. Once that was in place, the shoe worked great and is incredibly comfortable. I very rarely wear heels since I find them to be miserable to walk in after about 15 minutes, but these were great. I was able to walk a fair distance in these without my toes screaming for relief and had no need to slip them off under the table.I rated them a 5-star for the above reasons but a more accurate rating would be 4.5. The fact that I had to make an alteration by adding the pad means they were less than perfect, but darn close.
I'd normally wear a "N", but 9.5 wasn't available so ordered the "M" width in 9.5. They are a beautiful shoe and exactly what I wanted. While a bit "roomy' I'm keeping them. Will use sole inserts if necessary. I no longer wear three inch dress heels and while these are a bit higher than two inches they are comfortable and sturdy.
This is my second pair of these I love them so much! My puppy chewed my first pair so I was delighted to find them on Amazon for a good price so I could buy a replacement pair. These are comfortable enough to walk long distances and wear everyday. The style looks equally cute with skirts or trousers. The fabric is durable and scuffs and marks just wipe right off so they’re easy to keep looking clean and new. The patent heel is a beautiful detail.
The shoes are beautiful but I went by a review that stated they ran large so I ordered 81/2 instead of my regular size 9 and they are too small so I have wasted 218.00
The shoes are very nice and love the color dark taupe; they fit well, they have a comfortable heel. However, the right shoe scratches me at the side of the foot, but with a band it is solved. I wore them all day.
I guess my feet are getting too used to comfort shoes. I can wear a 3.5" Dansko heel, so I know it isn't a matter of height. My feet just felt very uncomfortable being in the shoe. They looked narrow to me - while I could put my feet INTO the shoes my toes had absolutely no wiggle room becasue they fit quite snug but not in a good way. Walking was too uncomfortable: my toes jammed up into the toe box trying to burst through the fabric and the gap between the shoe and the sole of my foot at the arch let my foot wanting more support in that area..
This shoe is a classic. It fits 1/2 size smaller than you might normally wear. I have this shoe in 3 colors, because it fits very comfortably while walking and standing. It looks beautiful on the foot and can be dressed up or down.
These are a great find! I stopped wearing all my heels after 2 pregnancy's and every time I THINK a new heel fits - I'm in pain less than an hour later. I'm obviously slow to realize I have wide feet now and need to buy wide shoes. So I went on a 12 shoe buying spree (as a first step) to try to find a wide fit, less than 3 inch, stacked heel shoe for work. I purchased all kinds of stuart wietzman, feregamo, naturalizer, rockport, etc from zappos - and then on a whim threw these into my amazon cart. Turns out I love them - they are not "wide", but they are slightly wider and incredibly flexible and fit amazing (true to size - 10) in the heel with no slippage, etc. I also have sweaty feet and these had no problem wearing all day and not slipping around inside. They are slightly tight across the top of the foot - but I wore them all day with minimal issue and I'm hoping they stretch a bit. And they are a bit tight in the toe-box, but again I've got some initial small pain 15 minutes in but instead of getting worse it actually stays the same or even a little better for all day wear. And because the heel height is good and the block heel is solid, I can rush up and down the halls and stairs at work without issue. Bottom line - I wish this brand came in wides - BUT I still kept these instead of all the other wide pairs I tried. Stuart Weitzmans wides felt the same as these. The naturlizer, rockport, lifestride, etc all didn't come with block heels and felt less steady despite the low heel height. I did really like the lifestride better than all the others and will continue to keep that brand in mind and watch for a block heel. And the feregamo's I purchased were actually pretty awesome, but for some reason they shipped me a medium width. So I am going to continue to explore the wide width feregamos. But in the meantime - I'm wearing these Corin heels at my desk and feeling good!
