Eastland Women's Shauna Sandal, Dark Walnut, 7

After several attempts to purchase similar sandals, I finally found the perfect ones! I recently purchased a pair of Birkenstocks, returned them because they looked to "hippie" for me. I also tried Prime Wardrobe, where you could try before you buy. I tried several styles in different sizes and colors, eliminating what didn't work. Love these shoes! Extremely comfortable, love the mahogany color, a deep rich brown that goes with almost everything. I didn't find that there was much of a break-in period and fit right out of the box. I've only worn them out twice and had no problems walking in them, or hurting my feet. And for 1/3 price of the Birkenstocks, they were the best choice for me! Even my 18 year old daughter loves them and wants a pair for herself. I always wear a 6.5 and have normal width, purchased a 6 and they were perfect in size.

I love the sandal but I don't like how they put too much toe area on the sandal.

I wear a size 7.5-8, but I'm closer to an 8 (especially when only whole sizes are available). I ordered the dark brown nubuck in a size 7 and 8 just to see which ones would fit better. I would say they run true to size as the 8 fit better in length and width (I have medium width feet yet I had to adjust the strap to be one notch wider to make it not feel so tight).But I actually ended up returning the size 8 along with the other pair because there was a noticeable blemish on the nubuck leather strap. I intend to order another pair though, as I bought a pair in the natural color leather last year and they are my favorite sandals. Comfy enough to wear all day once they're broken in!

So comfortable but they do seem to run big. If you are in half sizes, it's probably best to order down. The padding on the insole seems to be the right size but the toe is long (and I have long toes - this has never been a problem for me with other shoes). The leather straps come tight which is great because they will stretch with wear. I haven't decided if I will keep these because there is a scuff on the top of the right shoe (there are other scuffs but the obvious one is the dealbreaker). I should have bought directly from the manufacturer. With Amazon as a middleman, quality across the board is always lower than what you'd get if you shopped directly with the company.

I absolutely love this shoe! This order has been my first truly positive online shoe-shopping experience. Not only did these shoes fit and were cute as expected but they also have held up to water and comfort. I have been looking for a white sandal that was cute but also would be comfortable over long periods of time -- especially because I have weak ankles and a herniated disc that's still healing. I've had no issues with these sandals! And the fit like a glove. You almost forget your wearing them! Now, you do have to give the leather time to conform to your foot; however, it's worth breaking them in! I plan to order at least one other pair in black!

I wanted to love these sandals. They're great-looking and I love the leather straps, but the quality is poor and the fit is odd. Because many people buying footbed sandals compare the fit, style and quality to Birkenstocks, I have included photos of my 2 year old Birkenstock Gizehs (the ones with the T strap) alongside the Eastland Shauna, 3 weeks old, to compare the difference in the quality and fit of each sandal.Quality - The cork layer at the heel of left Eastland Shauna sandal cracked straight down the center, from the top of the footbed to the rubber sole after 3 weeks of light use or approximately 10 hours of light walking. I have literally worn the soles off 3 pairs of Birks and have never cracked any of them, even at the ball of the foot. Note: I was able to return the Eastland sandals for a refund.Fit - In almost every shoe I wear a size 7. In most sandals I buy a 7 or 7.5". For reference: I buy my Birkenstock sandals in a size 38 open footprint (7-7.5 medium width) with regular (not soft) footbed. The Eastland Shauna does not come in half sizes. Amazon recommended a size 7 in these sandals and that's what I bought. These run much narrower than my Birks, especially the toe box, and approx 1cm shorter in length. The toe piece is set too far back on the shoe, so there is almost .5" of extra shoe from the tip of my toes to the edge, while my heel is right up to the edge of the shoe. As for comfort: The Eastland sandals did not conform to my foot; the Birks did after 3 wearings.

Very comfortable, fit perfectly. I normally wear a 6.5 or 7 depending on the shoes, I got these in a 7.
