This shoe is amazingly comfortable and fits as expected.
I really want this shoe to work. I got them in Taupe Matte. It is a nice color. They are VERY cute and the lattice work is well done. I usually wear an 8, so I ordered the 8 and the 8 1/2. The 8 felt fine, lengthwise with no socks or any footwear on my foot. I do have narrow feet, so I don't know how they would fit on wide feet. My issue is that I have a high arch and instep and the shoes (both sizes) have a little seam bump under the very top piece of lattice work and it presses right on the bone on the top of my foot. In the 8, it started hurting while trying on the shoes around the house. The shoes are very cute and would work fantastic in the south for this time of year, when it is cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. I am thinking of keeping the 8.5, since it has a little more room in it and possibly cutting out the elastic piece that connects the lattice at the top to see if that shifts the seam a little, but I don't know if that is going to help since the issue isn't that they are all that tight on top, it is the little lump of a seam that is just under the top lattice work hits my bone. I doubt that anyone who doesn't deal with a high instep will even notice this. They are very pretty shoes and the fit feels good, the heel sturdy and the foot bed has nice support.
I love these, they are very classy and the heel is low enough to wear comfortably all day. It is too tight in the toe box, and a little tight on the top of the foot. I had to send them back and I'm waiting for the size I need to come back in stock. I would order the wide version, but it is also too tight in the toes so I need a half size up to make it fit all around.
Picture this. 4'11" 63 year old woman who wears work boots ( North face) everyday for my job and a occasional sneaker (Skechers) on the weekends walking in these shoes! Well, they are so comfy and with the chunky heel are so easy to walk on, I was shocked. My daughter is getting married Saturday and I will walk her down the isle and not worry about tipping over!!!
