Very good quality boots that are made with good leather. They run true to size and they are fairly comfortable. They are long lasting, and I feel they are worth the money. I've had several pairs over the years, and sometimes I will wear them as is for the life of the boot. Other times, I might add a cushioned insole after 6 months or so of the boot stretching. Bottom line is, they are good boots, and are highly recommended from me.
Boots are warm, comfortable, soft leather. Great traction. Quality for the price.
I have owned Georgia giant Works books in the past. These are great work boots, and they look very stylish. Always a comfortable pair of boots.
Working a highly intense construction job, I am outside in the field every day. I purchase boots every 6 months and since buying these I am on my second pair. Comfortable, durable and great fit.
This is my 4th pair of these exact same boots in less than 18 months. So if they don't last very long, why do I keep purchasing them you may ask. It's because these boots are so comfortable right out of the box, for a work boot. Usually, I have to experience some break-in period pain before work boots become comfortable for me. Not with these however, as they fit 'perfectly' immediately upon the first fit! Out of the 4 pairs that I've gotten in the last 18 months, my job has paid for 2 pairs of them, which is why I can afford to continue buying them. Otherwise, I'd have to look for another boot. If the soles lasted longer, I'd give these boots 5-Stars for sure!!
Great pair of boots!.. I loved them so much this is my second pair. I'm a machinist so i spend 8-12 hours a day in them in an environment full of sharp, often times scorching hot, metal chips as well as oil & cutting coolant on a daily basis and my first pair lasted over 1.5 years which far surpasses any other brand of boots my co-workers or I have ever owned.. my only complaint is the insole isn't the most comfortable it's not bad by any means just basic compared to other companies offering memory foam & etc. but i throw a set of insoles in every pair of boots I own because I'm diabetic & have mild feet problems from that so that's not a big deal
I've owned a pair of Georgia MudDog 11" pull on Boots for 2 years. I love them. Georgia makes well constructed boots. I needed a shorter pair of Steel Toe boots to wear with shorts in the warmer months. The MudDog 6" boots were unavailable when I placed my order. I have since bought them and now own 3 Georgia Boots. The Georgia Giant is a little uncomfortable for me for 2 reasons.... the stitching of the leather behind the heal gave me a blister from the start. I stuck a heel cushion, that I bought for $5 elsewhere, over the seam and I hope it sticks for a long time. The other problem is the Lace Hook that sits back from the Eyeholes. When I lace through that Hook it puts too much pressure on my ankle bone, and it hurts a lot when I walk. So, I don't use that Lace Hook, I just skip from the top Eyehole to the top Lace hook and all is well.
Excellent work boots, this is my second pair--first pair were bought in October 2010. I was glad to see the pair that arrived were the same "old-stock" as the pair they were replacing, identifiable by size mark 12W, as Georgia Boot was recently bought out by Rocky Boots and that company has shut down the U.S. manufacturing plants in Georgia and outsourced to China, as they do with all of their other boots brands. The Chinese probably can build a good boot, but not for a 220-240 pound man with a size 12 foot. Chinese-built boots literally collapse under me in a matter of hours, U.S.-made boots like Altama, Georgia, and Danner are the only boots that hold up, and of those companies, only Georgia Boot made workboots.I hadn't known Rocky bought out Georgia until I tried to have my existing pair re-soled again; I'll be buying spare pairs of old-stock boots as soon as I can!
