This iconic style lies at the heart of the Hunter Original British brand. Fully waterproof and functionally led, Hunter also provide an aesthetic, for which the rainboot has developed a global fashion following. In 1856, Henry Lee Norris, an American entrepreneur, landed on Scottish soil in search of a home for his boot making company. Having acquired a block of buildings in Edinburgh, known as the Castle Silk Mills, the North British Rubber Company (which much later became known as Hunter Boot Ltd) was registered as a limited liability company in September 1856. In the beginning there were only four people working for the company, by 1875 the team had grown to 600 members of staff. Production of wellington boots was dramatically boosted with the advent of World War I, when the company was asked by the British government to construct a sturdy boot suitable for the conditions in flooded trenches. The mills ran day and night to produce immense quantities of these trench boots. More than a million pairs were made to cope with the Army's demands. The fashionable boot was now a functional necessity. Hunter's most famous welly, the original Green wellington, was made over 50 years ago in the winter of 1955. It was the first orthopedic boot that they made and was launched alongside the Royal Hunter--another boot that remains in Hunter's range today. Today, Hunter remains the preferred welly brand for those who like to work hard and play hard--there's a great range of boots to suit welly wearers all over the world--from the Royal Family to festival-goers, working farmers and landed gentry alike.

After seeing these boots at Dillards Department store I just had to have a pair. Found them on Amazon and read all reviews (good and bad) and decide to order. The boots arrived in the original Hunter box and Hunter tags and perfect packing. Color is true to order (Navy) with no discoloration. These are original Hunter boots no question. Arrived as scheduled with notifications of tracking.I normally wear a size 61/2 but after reading some reviews that they run a bit larger I decided to order a size 6. They are a perfect fit. A 7 would have been too big. I can wear socks and still feel comfortable.Very happy with them.
Tall boots have always been a pain to put on (for me at least). These literally slip on so well. I do have muscular calves so they are slightly tight but too cute to return. I love them so I’ll deal ;)
I have been looking for a new pair of Hunter boots for months. Everyone was always out of my size or color.I jumped on this as soon as it came up! What a great price for Hunters! I had a skiing accident and ripped my ligaments in my foot so now I wear a brace until surgery. This is the only shoe that thing will fit in, and I love them. I order a 10 so I can wear thick socks with them.What a great price.

I am very pleased and happy for my Hunter Original Tall Boots. The seller is very legit. Very smooth transaction. Usually I wear 6.5 shoes. I bought 6M and this fit me perfect with enough and comfortable fit with shearlings and/or with Hunter boot socks.My wellies arrived in original Hunter box. Nicely packaged and no damages whatsoever to the box or boots. Boots is brand new and authentic.
I have been wanting these boots for a few years now and I finally bit the bullet and bought a pair. I bought a different brand of wellies from another retailer and they were too small for my calves so I worried about these, but they fit my legs perfect. They are also easy to get on and off. My favorite part is that the first time I wore them, I only wore simple socks, and I did not get any blisters! They were very comfortable to walk around in.
