I read the comments before buying, these do not fit wide, as stated in description. I do not have big/wide size calves and these fit pretty snug. These boots fit standard size versus wide. I love them.
They are not wide at all.
I live in Old Town, Alexandria where it floods often. I bought these before the supposed flood of the century. Although it didn't happen, the boots do their job. I have wider thighs and chose this particular model for that reason. They fit very well, look stylish, and I receive many compliments from them. I hope to have these for a long time. They seem to be very durrable and high quality.
Let me start by saying I have average calves and do not per say need a wide calf boot, however I buy them to have that extra wiggle room to get them off and on, and for the look. These are not wide calf boots and I know this because I have a pair of wide calf hunter snow boots and they are marked "wide" on the inside of the boot and these do not have that. Overall they fit the way my others do (just a tighter calf) and I love the look and quality. For reference my calf circumference is about 15" with leggings on and I have only a slight gap 1/2 inch or so at the top
I read several reviews that suggested sizing up but I don’t agree. I wear a 6 1/2 in standard flats (7 in JCrew flats, generally) with a 14 inch calf at the widest part. I originally ordered a 7, which is sized up from my original tall Hunter boots. They were way too big so I ordered my regular Hunter boots size (6) and they fit perfectly. These have more support in the foot and are actually a little wider than the original tall style. Very comfortable! I would say to know your size in the Hunter brand and order accordingly - their sizing is unique.
They are not very wide at the calves,and hard to take off once you have on because so tight. My calve size is 15ins.
My wife loves her new boots. Not took expensive yet takes care of her needs. Dry feet is good!!!
