Evans (Thomas and Amos) were running a small shoe business connected with a general store in the town of South Reading. There was no shoe factory as we know it today, just a small shop where Thomas and Amos cut the leather for their shoes. The actual shoe making was farmed out among the people of the town, while Thomas and Amos supplied them with uppers, soles, counters and heels to be assembled into shoes. All shoes were sewed by hand whenever the shoemaker-farmers could spare the time. Today L.B. Evans is owned and operated as a division of Daniel Green Enterprises. Many of the traditional gentleman's slipper styles are still part of the line, but the business has grown to include new updated classics, premium products including elk and deer, and an array or rugged, warm outdoor styles. Daniel Green Enterprises remains committed to the quality and comfort guarantee that the Evans brothers established over 200 years ago.

This is my second pair and I'll likely buy more. I work from home and wear them all day, even outside to get the mail etc. and they last well. They run a little slim, so get wide if you have wide feet. They do stretch out

My shoe size a 10.5E and I typically order a size 11 or 11-1/2. I ordered these slippers in 11 wide. The fit is perfect, plenty of width for the toes and a thumbs width in front of my toes. No bulging at the sides. I'm sure an EE foot would fit comfortably. I've been wearing these for about 5 days now and I love them. They stay on when walking and are warm. They seem to be good quality slippers.

These were the third try to find slippers for my husband. Finally, something that is wide and the true size. The elastic sides help to get them on and they are warm. There is no support on the sole, but the hard soles make traction just right in the house. They also look great!
