Mephisto Make a darn good shoe.
Best pair of shoes ever
I am wearing Mephisto for the last 15 years. Unfortunately, they change models very often. The Davy is not as pictured on the Amazon site because the leather is smooth, not textured. They fit more or less OK but the leather, especially, at the heel is very rigid and the opening is uncharacteristically small. I had a hard time putting my feet in the shoes. However, once there they felt OK. Looks like they need some break-up, which was not needed with previous models.
i wear this shoes only once a week on the weekend and it litterly in the first month got all creased from 'regular' wear
After back surgery, the easy on, easy off feature of these loafers is helpful. The considerable cushioning for the heel strike is important to me.
