There are lots of things to like about these shoes: • Easy on, easy off • Comfort right out of the box • True to size • Removable insoles • Lightweight • Well made • Nice thick soles to protect less than perfect feet Just a few grumps: • The shoes are textile lined which is good for bare feet; however, it is not overly friendly with socks. • The arch support is mediocre. • The leather shows scuff marks easily. • The heel is a bit wide for skinny heels • The brindle is a bit deceiving. It looks light olive green except in bright light…like sunshine. Then it looks light brown.Merrell is a good brand, and this is a comfortable, well made shoe, and my likes override the grumps. I recommend.
I love my Merrells! They are so comfortable! As to style and fashion, well, they're clogs. For clogs they look great. I also have the fur-lined ones for the winter. Because they fit so well and are so comfortable, these are my go-to shoes for everyday. Even when you shop warehouse or "big box" stores, your feet are comfortable after hours of walking!
Comfortable,look good ! The last pair I had I was still working as a nurse probably walking 3-5 mi. daily doing rounds , that pair lasted 10 years !

Had to remove a spot of glue on the interior side of the right shoe which was stuck firmly onto the lining. As I will be wearing these without socks, the glue had to be removed using a stitch remover tool, had to dig it out piece by piece which did leave a tiny tear in the lining. The lining of the insole was a little scratchy for bare feet, so I had to add a thin insole but I usually add insoles to all my shoes anyway for extra cush. Having said that, they are surprisingly lightweight and very very comfortable. My first pair of Merrell shoes and going by these won't be my last. I ordered the black patent 7.5M and would say they are true to size if they don't stretch out. I take a 7.5M in shoes and a 7M in sandals. I was looking for black patent shoes when I came across these, however, they do remind me of rain shoes a little because of the style. Will keep them as I stand a lot in my job and they are so comfy and the price was right.

I was so relieved to be able to find and replace my Merrel Encore Novas! They last so well that I feared the style would have gone out of production when it came time to replace my well-worn, comfortable, favorite shoes. These are great in both heat or cold... any kind of weather (warmer and more weather resistant than the mesh versions). They are so comfortable and supportive that my abused feet are able to run around all day and without pain. I have a wide foot, and the wide size is perfect for me. My adult kids have "normal" feet and appreciate the regular width. These are high quality, comfortable and durable shoes!
These shoes felt as though they were built all wrong. The heel was high, not like a slightly padded sneaker heel, but really at least an inch high, and the arch support was so far back that it was essentially a bump on the side of the heel box. I did not feel stable even standing still in the shoes, let alone walking in them. They also had a very strong smell when I took them out of the box. Very sad as I've had Merrell clogs in the past and always found them comfortable and solid. But these were not acceptable. I sent them back.
