Update: after 4 months of use, it's started to become quite uncomfortable to use on hiking trails. It's sad because it was originally really good. I still use it for walking around town but not for long distances as it's really ripped up the skin around my ankle. 3/5 now.Caveat, it's more of a 4.7/5 than a full 5/5. But it's pretty darn close.Summary: I bought this product because I need an everyday shoe that offer goodcomfort for my feet throughout the day. I am planning to use this shoe mainly for hiking, exercise walk with my dog,and occasionally, for work as well in a factory. After wearing it for about 5 days straight, it is damn good. I wouldrecommend this to anyone who like a good pair of shoes for anyone need agood and reliable shoe to help carry their feet throughout their dailyactivities such as walking or hiking.Pros: One of the few things I like about this shoe is that the memory foamprovided in the shoe offer such a kick ass comfort for my feetthroughout the 8 hours of work in a hot and humid manufacturing jobthat I have. This is better than other shoes I have so far since I can go hiking with itand no worries of slipping off since I do a lot when hiking with myfriends. This shoe is effective since it provides the comfort I need for hiking, andwalking around in a hot place and since it is part mesh, the shoe is quitebreathable too. The shoe will last long depend on the person using it but for me, it willlast for more than a year for sure. Good materials being used to createthis shoe.Cons: There is only one con I can think of about this shoe. That is this shoeis very suitable for running at all. The traction beneath the shoedoesn’t provide the speed boost I need to run comfortable. Otherthan that, it still provides pretty damn well performance for me.Overall View: I really like the shoe and would still recommend this to anyone whoare looking for a nice and comfortable/reliable shoe to help them go throughmost of their daily physical activities outside the house like walking on trails, hiking, or working in a manufacturing or a fast food restaurants that require youto stand and walk around for more than 8 hours long.
Good for hiking and general use - nice colors and overall look
I have worn several pairs of Nevados shoes over the years and I've generally been pretty happy with them. They tend to be attractively priced and of reasonably good quality for that lower price point. Unfortunately, these Cayenne low top hiker-style shoes are probably my least favorite Nevados so far. My main issue is comfort, which these do not provide. The uppers are made of a thin and kind of stiff material with virtually no padding, and they just don't feel great. They run true to size and the soles are okay but those uppers are begging for some soft lining or something to cushion them. Overall I wouldn't recommend them.
in 10.5 thinking they should fit perfectly - but sadly they were just too short and my toes hit the front of the shoe when walking downhill - not good.So I ordered these Cayenne XT shoes in size 11. But they just feel too large for some reason, not 'loose' and my feet don't slide in them, but the toe box and front is maybe extra wide? I have about 1/2"-3/4" space at the front of the shoe which should be OK. Maybe they're just wider than usual and don't feel as snug as I like. I did pull the laces up pretty tight to see if that would help, but they still feel more roomy than usual, which may be what you are looking for especially if you have wide feet.Anyway, the soles are great for trails - very grippy and flexible. The upper is flexible and breathable. Stitching and sewn-on stripes don't align the same way from shoe to shoe... so it must have been hand-made? Overall a good shoe, and if you have wide feet you should be comfortable in them.
They aren't necessarily a bad hiking shoe but they didn't fit right to my foot. The picture I looked at and the shoe I got weren't exactly the same. They weren't as vibrant or as rugged as they looked. The were tight and small on my foot making walking in them uncomfortable.
I thought these might be a little too soft and not offer support since the insole is made with memory foam, but these turned out to be very comfortable and supportive. Being waterproof, I wondered how well they would breathe, and they do a great job. In very hot weather, they shoes didn't feel hot to wear. The traction is good on them, and they're a great fit. All in all, a very good set of "hiking" shoes, but they're also comfortable enough to just walk around in, hence I guess why they call them hiking sneakers.
These are as expected, but I must say that the styling feels a bit retro, and not in a way that inspires me. Passing them on.
