Great quality hiking boots. Have used this brand since my kid is 2. Gives ankle support, easty to tie but protects feet.
fits is right on. wish they had 5.5 size. at least they will fit till spring. we r in california and will be used for hike, school days when its wet and raininy. nice boot, very soft interesting material on the inside, prob whicks sweat and stays warm at same time. this is not thick inside or furry. tread on bottom is awesome, boot is lightweight so my 8 yr old boy can still run fast and move easily in them. i like the top hooks for easy on and off...so use last holes then make a big bow, then you go right to left hooking laces. its an awesome trick for kids to get in out of boots fast with this type of fasteners..love them. nice color and fabric is really good. i mean al,most better than our Keehn boots, shoes. wow
My son needed good shoes for his Boy Scouts camp outs and these definitely worked out perfectly. They were more comfortable than his sneakers and fit great. He wears a 3 1/2 but the size 4 boots weee a great fit.
My son tried them on and was very happy with them says they were really supportive and comfortable. Then he decided he didn't like how the shape is in front (he's very picky) so they're just sitting on the shelf unfortunately. Haven't tested the waterproof feature
I'm not a kid, but as a woman with small, wide feet, these boots are perfect! I bought my second pair of these Northside boots after putting hundreds of miles and 2 years of daily wear on my first pair. They are mostly water-proof out of the box, though I put a coat of spray-on water-proofing on them for wearing in winter snow. These boots are well-made with good support at the ankle (tops come to ankle-bone). Very Happy with these boots!
Purchased for my 14yo for a long hike, she never broke them in ahead of time but she said they were so comfortable and she never got blisters.
We moved to where there is less houses. There is more land and dirt around us now. My son needed shoes that you keep up with his active life. Well, his foot has grown faster than these shoes can keep up with him. They work, they are great, just his feet grows fast.
If you want something that looks cute or nice, these are the ones to buy because of the price. They do not hold up to actual hiking though. The rubber sole wore through after 2 months of wear.
