I had been yearning for these shoes for over a year on pinupgirlclothing.com, but was waiting to order them with other items to take advantage of free shipping over a certain amount. However, I found them on Amazon with FREE 2-day Prime shipping and FREE returns (not available from PUG, unfortunately), AND they were $2.00 less expensive.I usually wear a 7 1/2 in athletic shoes and flats, and typically need to purchase an 8 in heels, which has always been the case with shoes from PUG. These are actually a bit large, but the style did not have half sizes at the time of purchase. I'd say this is a rare case where your heel size is probably the same as your flats/athletic size. However, a quick Dr. Scholl's heel insert, and I am off to the races!These are also very versatile. They make a sassy pairing with skinny jeans, look GREAT with slouchy leg warmers, and are still classy enough to be worn as a fun addition to a dressy or even formal outfit! I have worn them to work, to the grocery store, and then on to an evening out with no problem. Red is a neutral color in my wardrobe, and I plan on having these as a staple for a long time!One thing to be aware of: this shoe does have a hidden 3/4" platform in the ball of the foot, so even though the heel is 4.25", you are only standing as though it is 3.5", making it very comfortable relative to the height. This shoe is totally cute and adorable, the bright candy-apple red patent is amazing, but it runs small and really needs to come in half sizes. I am normally an 8-8.5 so I went with the 9, especially being a closed-toe shoe, figured I could use the extra space. But the 9 was still too tight, so I returned the 9 and ordered a 10, which is now too big. A 9.5 should be perfect, but it doesn't come in half sizes. It's so cute that I'm trying to make it work with gel innersoles + heel inserts, but not sure if it's going to work. The strap isn't adjustable either, so that's no help. If I can't make it work, I'll have to return the 10, which will make me sad :(
This shoe is very stylish, but its too small.
Got married on Halloween...these were unbelievably perfect. I'm 5'1" & my guy is 6'5". I felt like much less of a hobbit in these...they're soooo cute! HOWEVER, you will want to get Dr. Scholls gel pads for the balls of your feet to keep your feet from sliding to the toe of the shoe since the heel is SO high. AND a gel pad for the back of your heel so they're snug & don't rub...& so you can walk like a super model without rolling an ankle. ;)
These shoes are adorable! My shoe size is 7 1/2 but i normally buy 7 in dress shoes. I ordered an 8 after reading the reviews and I'm glad I did. They are a little big in the back and want to slide off when I walk but I can't fix that. The 7's would've been too small. I will definitely be buying another pain in a different color!
I love these and wore them for a red carpet event. I got a lot of compliments and considering how long I was on my feet, they didn’t hurt. I did add some inserts for they are not at all cushioned in the insole. I ordered a size up but had to send back to go up one more. So for me I went up 2 sizes and they were a little loose but gave room for the insoles.
I bought these shoes to wear with my wedding dress. They are very sexy and comfortable enough considering they are rather high. I usually wear a 5 and ordered a 6 and they are still a tiny bit difficult to get in with bare feet as the strap is not removable (just a tiny bit stretchy). If you are wearing hose then you'll have no problem slipping your feet in. Definitely order one size larger than your normal shoe size. All that being said, they are gorgeous and make me feel like a million dollars :)
