This is my first pair of sneakers that I bought exclusively for the gym. I like to lift weights, whether free weights or machines. I don't understand why nobody ever told me to buy gym sneakers. These are so comfortable to work out in!!! I love these sneakers. Great quality and look sharp. I am a size 14 and wear orthotics. I bought a 14 and they fit perfectly. They are easy to adjust tighter or looser, so the orthotics didn't make a difference. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a great pair of gym sneakers. I have always worn running or basketball sneakers. These are much better and give much more support for when I do heavy lifting. Buy these!!!
I recently began to actually take care of myself. I had been using some cheap shoes during CrossFit/kettlebell workouts. I didn’t want to spend money on something that I would give up on.After about 6 months of sticking with it, I bought these on a recommendation of a friend. Even to a novice like me, I can tell the difference they make. The rigid heel and arch cup make lifting weights much more stable. The reinforcement in the outside of the upper and the short toe cap make push-ups easier on my toes. The toe box is extra wide and flares well coming out of the narrow arch support. The laces are long enough to use but short enough that they don’t flop around.Would highly recommend these shoes.
I have wide feet and cross trainers are hard to find in wide. I usually wear 12W but purchased a half size up to 12.5 for these. These are great for working out and light cardio. They are tight on my feet but not painful, very supportive and have lots of room in the toe box. These have been my go to shoes for all things weight lifting, probably wouldn’t run in these as the bottom is very flat for running. These also have great stability for lateral movements and I have used these for plyometrics and agility movements with good results. Would recommend.
The Nano does exactly what you'd expect from a training shoe. I noticed the difference between the Nano and my running shoe immediately. The Nano is stiffer and provides a great deal more support for lateral movement. The drop is perfect for weight training and substantially different from the running shoe. I was literally leaning forward doing squats with my running shoe and don't have that problem with the Nano. I'm using the shoes for HIIT workouts and they are performing extremely well. Plenty of support for the moves. Good shoe for jump rope workouts. I would not recommend them for running more than 50 meters at a time. They are heavy and don't have the cushioning that running shoes do. (But then that's not why you'd buy Nano's, is it?) They do just fine for short sprints. I've used them every day for about 3 months and they are holding up great from a durability standpoint. I'd definitely recommend the Reebok Nano to others looking for a high-quality training shoe.
I have had a few pairs of Nano's previously, but these are the first one's that I've actually liked. They fit well, and so far they've been good for short runs, as well as all the typical lifting and jumping exercises. The only "negative-ish" thing I would say is that they feel a little stiff and clunky. Though their stiffness or clunkiness hasn't presented any negative results, so maybe I just need to get used to them.
I bought these shoes about a month and a half ago to replace my New Balance Minimus' that had worn out. Since then I've been using them 6 days a week for my crossfit workouts and doing nature walks with my dog. So far the shoes having been holding up great. Going from minimal shoes like the Minimus or the Merrils that I had before to these means I don't have to worry about stepping on bigger rocks and feeling them through the soles. The tread on the bottom is also enough to give me grip on dirt trails while being flat enough to good for lifting.I only have two gripes. First, the shoes laces have a tendency to come untied when doing double unders or on runs. Not a super big deal if I remember to double tie them, although I really wish that more athletic shoes would switch to a quicklace system like Salomon has with their Speedcross shoes. The other is that there is a lot of cloth material compared to similar shoes. I suspect this will make them more durable in the long run, which is a good thing. However, I sweat a lot during workouts and live in a humid climate. Often times the shoes won't dry out overnight and I'm left with slightly soggy shoes.
I wear a size 14 in all athletic shoes. This fits very well and is extremely comfortable. It is not the best all-purpose workout shoe. It is not good for agility based cardio due to the width. Definitely not the best for lots of jumping where you need to land on the balls of your feet. I now only wear this shoe for working out with heavy weights on leg days. It is an amazing shoe for squats and lunges. Very challenging and frustrating shoe if you incorporate a lot side planking into your routine due to the extra room on the sides of the feet and the extremely chunky heal. I purchased the Reebok Les Milles shoe which is cheaper and use it for everything now (except running).
Very comfortable shoes, I was looking for decent priced gym shoes/running shoes. They look really nice, extremely comfortable. Great material I've only ran in them three times but seem like they will hold up. They are extremely breathable. The one thing I will mention is that the toe box/ toe of the shoes are wide. I have very wide feet so usually get a size up. But I actually got my size and they feel a little big. Like to the point where I wish I would have gotten a size smaller. Not sure but I wear a size 15 and these size 14 felt a little big up near the toe. But I am very happy with these shoes.
