This is my 3rd pair of this exact shoe. They last for years and are very comfortable!
Day 1 and I put em right to the test. Let me start by saying that they do fit better than the comparable grey Carhartt shoes that I sent back for that very reason. These are, let's say, roomy but not too big. Plenty of room in the toe. Now, they may look like sneakers, but aren't as comfortable. Rocky has boots with better cushioned insoles, what gives? Anyway, I'm putting some Dr.Scholls gel inserts in mine asap That's my one complaint. My only other complaint is their claim of "waterproof". I'm a biiig fan of goretex, and I think Rocky should have gone for some with these (especially for the price). So I get em yesterday, wear em all day at work (they got more comfortable as the day went on), came home, took the dog for a walk in the field across the street where the big deep puddle is. (couldn't wait for this test!) Walked 100' through 2" deep water along the edge of the puddle with water coming well up the sides of the shoe, so far i think its going well and my feet are still dry, i think, then i stood in 3-4" deep water for 20 to 30 seconds covering the top of the shoes. That's when I wasn't sure for a minute if I felt the cold of the water or the wetness of the water. I know I was feeling something and saying to myself, "uh oh...." Results: some wetness along the very outsides of my feet. Some. Actually I was surprised at how dry my feet were for the most part given the tests I did and these being mesh shoes. Buuuut.... I could feel the cold and some of the wet along the outside edges of my feet, and then when I got home and pulled them off and felt Inside, sure enough, wet, right where the sides meet the soles, so, they're NOT "waterproof" god damn it. I'm a stickler and haaate wet feet. Now if you're walking through wet grass or if it's just raining you'll probably be fine. Just don't submerge your feet for an extended period of time which I'm sure these are not meant to do. But, I don't care what the hell they're "meant to do, don't say water PROOF, say "really really water resistant! " The traction is just fine. They feel sturdy and well built. I honestly wish Merrell would make a composite toe'd hiking shoe honestly. Now, if these were a little more comfy and truly 100% waterproof an easy 5 stars I'd have given. I’ve worn out 2 pairs of Rocky ankle high work boots and loved them. I thought I’d try the work shoe style. Big mistake. The boots are not comfortable. Too heavy and the footbed is really hard on the toes. I’ve worn them for about a week and they hurt every time I put them on. In addition, I normally wear a 12.5. I ordered a 12.5 and they were way too big. Returned for a 12. Overall would NOT recommend these boots. I’ll go back to the Rocky’s I’ve worn for years.
This is the 2nd pair that I have purchased for my son. He liked the first pair for work so much, that he requested a 2nd pair. His lasted about 1 year.
Good shoe for 8 hour job, but 12 hr shift, not so much.
Waterproof, lightweight composite toe, and slip, electrical hazard protection . I like it. Also without the Paul Bunyon lumber jack look, can wear these after work and just look like sneakers. Way to go Rocky!
only had them a short time but, they seem to be the good quality Rocky brand has shown thru the years I've used their products.
im been wearing them for 4 days now and can't believe how my feet aren't hurting ! And they are very comfortable
