Previously I had the Sansha Moderno in size 9.5 which is a different style and fit well. I wore those out and decided to stick with Sansha brand although there are not many choices nowadays. I decided on these because I know my size in Sansha; I also have their dance sneakers and boot-type lace-up jazz shoes. I have a wide foot and sized up again to 10M (I wear 8.5 wide in regular shoe size, like Skechers) this time to be sure and they fit fine lengthwise (a little room on toe) but I do wear them with semi-thick socks for my workouts (which include dancing). I find the Charlotte style a little snug across the top but that will stretch as time goes on. What I love about them is the stretchy fabric that goes around the middle--makes it much easier to point your foot. I'm liking them more than my previous Sansha jazz shoes at this point. Glad I got them, very comfortable.
I wear a US women's 4.5 to size 5. I ordered the Sansha 5 (4 US women's) and the fit was perfect. If anything, it was a little too loose and I need to wear it with socks.I like my shoes snug so I can feel the wood floor beneath. The suede soles are very smooth and allow me to pivot without having my foot get stuck, thereby sparing twisting my knees. These soles are only slightly grippier than wearing socks alone. If you want more support for floor pounding, or more grip, these might not be for you. They are thin, sensitive and smooth-soled which is what I wanted. Note that in the picture there is only one piece at the ball of the sole. There actually is an additional piece toward the toe which I find makes it more comfortable; otherwise it would feel like a ballet shoe.
Pay attention the the size you order, it fits just fine. Bottom padding designed for normal, not wide feet.
I take an adult jazz class once a week my last pair of jazz shoes were a different brand but took about 3.5 years to wear out. I have only just begun to wear these for a few months and they seem very durable and long lasting. Beware although they do have some stretch they are not very stretchy, the description was true to size, and it is taking me a little while to break them in. But they are great and I would recommend them.
My daughter has bad bunions, and as a result buying any kind of shoes is difficult. Dance shoes, which tend to be narrow, are the worst. I went up a size for these and they're perfect - she says she wishes she could wear them all the time because they're so comfortable! Money well spent.
I was a bit anxious upon recieving them because they seemed a bit small, but they stretched to my feet and they have worked wonderfully for the last month. I performed in Cinderella with them for that time, so I was in them on average about 4 hours a day and they held up beautifully.
returned these.
