I originally saw these on Urban Outfitters for 55 and was sad they didn’t have my size, so Amazon was the best deal I could find for them. Overall they’re what I expected, they’re a nice casual go with everything shoe that can also be dressed up. The strap near the toes fit fine but I can see how it may be an issue for some (either too tight or too loose), and for the strap near the ankle, it’s loose so I’m planning to poke another hole in the strap so they fit me better. I will say that the shoes I received look a bit used, there were little holes/marks on the underside, it came with no manufacture’s packaging or box, there’s an area where the leather wasn’t glued down correctly, and part of the bottom rubber was already peeling off when I received them (see photos). I’m unsure if they’re fake but I did expect better quality from Seychelles and don’t think they look/feel like 80+ shoes (I see they’re 100 on here now and I would definitely not buy them for that price), I think 50 would be a more reasonable price for these (as UO agrees). But overall I will wear these and hope they’ll hold up as nicely as my other Seychelles shoes. When deciding if I wanted to buy the shoes I couldn’t find any photos of the shoes just from the front at a normal angle or anyone wearing them with pants so hope my photos help. I rated them a 4 but i'd say it's more like a 3.5 which isn't bad. They fit true to size and seem comfortable although I haven’t worn them out yet.
I really like my platinum sandals. I have skinny feet and they fit well--I wouldn't recommend to people with a wide toe box. The thing I'm disappointed with is that the strap doesn't have enough holes to buckle them securely to my feet. Platforms aren't exactly lightweight, and need to be secure so they don't flop around. If you have medium to large ankles this may not be a problem, but I have to go to a cobbler to get more holes punched in the leather. As for sizing, I found it accurate to their size chart. I like the shoes enough to keep them.
Seems comfortable enough because it’s a platform sandal. Haven’t worn it for an extended time, but I’m very particular on how shoes/sandals feel when I first put them on. I don’t believe in “break in” periods, need to be comfortable from the start.
So sorry that I had to return them. The strap lays right on the little toe. And there's no way to adjust them. I have a few pairs of seychelles and they're extremely comfortable. But not these.
