Skechers Men's Markan Military and Tactical Boot, Black, 7.5

Hubby bought a pair somewhere else a couple years ago. Went to Amazon to see if I could find him another pair. He absolutely loves these boots. He said they are waterproof, very comfortable to him being on his feet all day, wear is long for them, will keep you from being electric cuted if you accidentally step on a live wire.

I am a very active 73 year old with arthritis in my feet, most likely from decades of being a runner. Over the past several years Skechers shoes have proven to be as comfortable as shoe as I can find for daily wear. However, while no longer running, I now hike several miles daily with my three dogs on grassy mountain trails that are always very wet with dew each morning. Certainly the equivalent of walking in the rain, even if it isn't raining, and often it is. The foorwear I have on becomes very wet and finding a comfortable truly waterproof boot has been difficult. When I saw an ad for these Skechers boots I bought a pair. While not a "hiking boot" they serve the purpose very well. They were perfectly comfortable right out of the box, no break-in required, and after a month of daily wear and exposure to plenty of heavy moisture from wet grass and rain, my feet have stayed perfectly dry and comfortable. No doubt an excellent boot for those in law enforcement, or just someone like me needing all day dry comfort for my long abused feet.

Great boot. But, the boot strap on back is flimsy and prone to tear. If the material and attachment process was improved a five star it shall receive…

To begin with, these are very comfortable right out of the box. And they fit great. I only gave 1 star due to the poor quality of the outside. 1st pair I bought back in March, I wore them about 10 shifts and the loop to pull them on tore off. The warranty covered them and I immediately got a new pair. Very happy with the service. Now the 2nd pair I’ve been wearing about 4 months and the stitching is coming apart around the sole on the outside. They’re no longer water proof. I’m in rural 911 EMS, at a slower station so they don’t really get used and abused. They literally just don’t hold up very well. Will never purchase again.

Good quality for the value. I have had this for about 1 month. Using it to run, walk and sit. Running and walking are comfy. Sitting for a long time i feel cuts off the circulation on the back of the lower calf a little making me constantly adjust in my patrol car. Sturdy design. I have not had any problems with it yet.

EDIT: I've had these just barely over one month. Literally two days after the one-month return window closed the soles started separating from the shoe! This is happening on both shoes and is definitely not what I would have expected from $150 boots. Super bummed about the quality. I presume this will absolutely affect their waterproof-ness. Removing a couple stars cause this is a big letdown, especially for Sketchers._________________________________________________I tried 4 different styles of waterproof tactical boots (these along with a couple different XPETIs and the NORTIV 8) and these were the clear winners. I bought these primarily for hiking through the wet woods but also wanted a decent looking all-purpose city boot for the fall/winter/spring. I find them to be even more stylish than I expected, and have been getting tons of compliments of them. They weren't the cheapest of the bunch but they had a small discount in my size. They were comfortable out of the box, true to size, and kept my feet warm and dry on a long rainy fall walk. Love love love the side-zippers and velcro tab. The only downside is that they are a little heavy! I wore them dancing at a concrete floor club- while I felt sturdy and protected on my feet, by the end of the night I was definitely ready for a back rub.

if it was durable, but the color faded after 3 rain storms and the soles started splitting. a little crazy glue though allowed them to last me a year

Like the appearance, fit and price. They were delivered as stated. I use them like everyday shoes and have even wore them to church on Sunday. 👍
