I am very pleased with Sketchers Go Walk slip ons. I have always had trouble with getting shoes and they never seem to fit correctly. Sketchers fit me right out of the box and are so comfortable for walking. They have lots of cushioning and are so soft to walk on. I plan to buy more in various colors.
I purchased these shoes in the black/white combo on a whim in preparation for my eighth year of teaching. I read the glowing reviews, with people falling all over themselves trying to explain how comfortable these shoes are. I thought to myself, "What were they wearing before, miniature beds of nails? Duct-tape wraps filled with shards of glass?" I found the reviews to be a little ridiculous and hyperbolic, but I figured - what the heck? I bought the shoes and when they arrived, I noticed that they looked almost exactly like a pair of water shoes I bought on vacation this summer, and I was a little dismayed ("Why didn't I just wear my $10 water shoes, if that's what these are?"). Nonetheless, I slipped them on and took my dogs for a walk. The shoes were comfortable, and there was no irritation/rubbing/need to "break them in" at all. Even so, a 20-minute walk is hardly the true test of a shoe's mettle.I went whole hog and wore them to work the next day, when I was literally on my feet and working the at least 9 of the 10 hours I was there. It wasn't until I finally got home that I realized I hadn't thought about my feet all day. I hadn't lamented the shoes, my feet weren't sore or tired, and I didn't feel the need to rip my shoes off as soon as I walked in the door. I was impressed, but not quite sold. I wore the shoes several more times over the next two weeks, sometimes for very very long work days, and I still had absolutely no soreness or pain in my feet. I don't even know if I could say that about my best sneakers, which I have always held up as the paragon of comfort. Now I understand what all of these crazy reviewers were talking about. These shoes really are above and beyond every other piece of footwear I've ever tried. I'm doing a six-mile charity walk tomorrow, and I'll be eschewing my sneakers in favor of the Go Walk slip-ons.A few notes:-The white soles do get grimy pretty quickly, but that's to be expected for a white sole interacting with the real world.-My feet sweat a little while in these shoes, but the fabric has some wicking properties that make sure your feet feel dry and comfortable. I'm sure the shoes will stink pretty amazingly after a while, but you can actually throw these right in the washing machine, and Febreze can work wonders between washes. I always wear these without socks or liners, so mine will stink up quicker than if I wore something between the shoe and my foot.-As for sizing, I went with an 8, which is my size in flats, and that ended up being perfect. These are roomy in the toe box, but not overly so, so I imagine a variety of foot widths would do well here. I recommend ordering your true size in flats, or up a half size if you intend to wear socks with them.
I used to have real trouble with my feet and tried everything out there for comfort. Then Skechers came along and I tried a pair. I now have 21 pairs and no more sore feet!
I have multiple foot issues that cause me various levels of pain. Suffice it to say that I need a minimum amount of a) arch support b) ball of the foot cushioning in a non-constricting, bunion-friendly shoe. Plain old flats don't cut it for me at all because they lack those 2 components.I'm been curious about the Skechers line, but the price has held me back, along with reviews that say the shoes don't last that long.I recently purchased a Skechers-LIKE shoe at Kohls (Croft & Barrow brand), and liked it. Plus the price was very user-friendly. I was only able to find ONE COLOR in my size, so I started searching online.I found this model on Amazon - for less than the $60 dollars that's usually listed for a Skechers shoe, so I decided to give it a shot!I find them comfortable and see no flaws in the quality of the shoe. As for the durability, time will tell. I'll report back is that ends up being an issue. I'm pretty picky about style, and for a casual shoe, these pass the test ... they're actually kind of cute! I love the fact that they have adequate cushioning BUT are still lightweight. I find the typical athletic shoe simply too bulky/clumsy/heavy for me. These fit more like a slipper BUT with some support, so as far as I'm concerned, better than a slipper.SIZING:I normally wear a 9 1/2 wide or a 10, depending on the shoe. My foot's just kind of wide, but I usually need the extra width to accommodate the bunion. Based on other reviews & comments (that the shoes are naturally kind of wide and tend to run big), I ordered a 9 B(M) ... which in my vast shoe-buying experience indicates a REGULAR width. What I received feels plenty comfortable; perhaps just a teensy, tiny bit too wide, but not enough that the shoes flop around on my feet, so that's fine. But here's the thing: The BOX says: size 9 (Eur 39, UK 6, etc). INSIDE the shoe, near the heel, is says "W9" (which I would interpret as 9 WIDE) INSIDE the shoe, in another spot, it says size 9 (Eur 39, UK 6, etc.)So, I'm not sure what I got ... but I decided it's not worth the effort & time to return/exchange. They fit ok, so I'm keeping them. But I couldn't tell you for sure whether the shoe is mislabelled (or the box) or which size I really got. It works out well for someone like me who's borderline regular-wide width. If you're a narrow - you might want to look for another shoe ...
Love these shoes. Have another "old"pair from years ago, glad I was able to find same ones, same color.
I really like the canvas fabric for this shoe. It is light weight but offers my foot support. I have had this style before and literally wore it out. This is one of my favorite slip on shoes.
Disappointed even though near perfect in every other way. Problem is the sole of the shoes are on the thin side and as a result sole of my feels the individual raised "stems" on bottom outside of the of the shoe sole and I find uncomfortable feeling. May be I am not used to this kind of feel, not feeling like normal shoes. Returned them.
Good for wirk keep your leg comfortable
